We stayed one night on our C2C. The location is good, the home is stunning, the breakfast lovely. The mattress wasn't the comfiest otherwise the stay was great. The WiFi didn't work at all but to be honest, it's quite nice being away from it all anyway :)

Just spent 2 days at this great B&B in Rosthwaite in the lovely Borrowdale Valley. Lovely, comfortable, spotlessly clean accommodation. All rooms are en-suite. Breakfast was a real treat and the owner and staff (especially a lady called Andrea) were very friendly and welcoming. Easily walked to the local pub for a delicious bar snack in the evening. Also ate... More

We actually went there 8yrs ago. As an extension to our honeymoon and the setting was as scenic as it gets. You can see the great gable from the front garden and the sheep graze on the slopes. The owner is v friendly. The breakfast is good and we need to revisit to relive the memories.

We had a four night stay at the end of August because of a cancellation and really enjoyed it. Spotlessly clean with comfortable beds - we had the first two nights in the twin bedded room although at 6'4" tall the bath is on the tight side. The middle room is the nicest with a good sized en suite and... More

As someone who normally stays in camping barns and hostels, I don't feel qualified to properly judge the accommodation, other than to say I thought it was well presented and very nice overall. It is most certainly an old cottage with character though, so don't be surprised by low ceilings, doors that don't quite shut properly, and anything else you... More

Yew Tree Farm B&B in Borrowdale is an ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE of mine! I have stayed here 8 times in the last 7 years, as I find it is such a wonderful place to escape to, and I’ve met a number of fellow guests who have also been paying return visits for the same reason. The setting of the B&B is... More

Its difficult to enthuse about Yew tree farm because we barely got to know it. We slept in the bed, and had breakfast, but there was no real interaction with our hosts, the introduction to our room was cursory and we saw no one until breakfast, - we were told what time breakfast was, in contrast with most of the... This home was adorable. The rooms were quaint and cozy. The bed was incredibly comfortable - slept like a baby. The staff were very accommodating. This place was great value - by far the best place to stay in Borrowdale.

We stayed for 3 nights in June. Carole greeted us on arrival and instantly made us feel welcome. We missed the pub food by 5 minutes but she made us a hearty snack with home made cake and rolls from the tea room opposite. The Riverside Bar stops food at 9pm so after a 6.5 hour drive from surrey this... More

“This B&B is on one of the many walking trails around Keswick, you can leave your car here and take part in several local walks, there is a tea/cafe attached to the B&B where they serve a lamb stew made their own Herdwick Lambs as well as scones and cakes, this is a great place to get away from it all and live the good and simple life, we are staying here again on our return journey back home, looking forward to it.”
