Hotel is situated about 4 miles outside Keswick and offers excellent views from the front over Derwentwater. There is easy access to the lake and a boarding point for the lakeside ferry and there are also bus stops outside the hotel. We stayed for 5 nights and decided to pay extra for a lake view and were very pleased with... More

We arranged a pre-wedding walk and afternoon tea at the Lodore so people could meet prior to the special day. We booked for 12 and they took a deposit. We turned up on the day and despite having the booking they didn't prepare for it so we were crammed in a corner having to move furniture ourselves. They then proceed... More

Dear 'Mark R' Thank you for your review. I'm so sorry to hear that your afternoon tea booking was less than satisfactory. I have only just joined the company and as such unsure of when this was but quite clearly surly service is unacceptable and something I will address. We should have reserved the space for you and provided adequate... More

Stayed 3 nights with my family. Room was very clean and well appointed. I did find the beds very soft. We had wanted to book bed & breakfast but we were advised that having dinner 2 night was as cheap as B&B rate. We were glad we took the dinner option as the food was lovely. The staff very friendly.... More

Stayed here for one night, hotel is in a fantastic setting, room we had was called a garden room, not sure why as it overlooked the the rooftop, with a hint of garden. This room was supposed to be a superior room, can't see the difference from this and other normal hotel rooms we have stayed in. Bed was one... More

Dear 'cag1965' Thank you for your review, it is great to hear the service from my team was of a high standard and will ensure this is fed back. I have only very recently joined the company and I have found Wi Fi can be slow with little signal. We have this week improved the signal available across the hotel... More

We went for my cousins wedding and the hotel is truly beautiful and most of the staff are fab, however, there were issues with the seating plan for the wedding meal a few guests had been missed off the meal list and the seating plan on display was incorrect. We spoke to a manager to try and get the missing... More

We recently had a week in the lakes and decided to walk the circumference of Derwent Water. Then at just the perfect moment we came across the Lodore Falls Hotel. We arrived at the hotel to find that we had missed afternoon tea, however this was not a problem.... Immediately the receptionist extended it to the next day or for us to take away when we were checking out. The room was lovely and clean & the bed was really comfortable. Booked a three night stay through a deals website and wasn't really expecting that much from the hotel. But boy was I wrong. The rooms are comfortable with good views. Rooms were quiet and we didn't experience any noise from an ongoing wedding at the hotel. Bathroom was clean and towels were great. The restaurant is really good too. Breakfast... More

We have just returned from a lovely midweek break at this hotel, benefitting as well from the superb weather. When you need help when you are away from home, who do you turn to? The hotel?. So when my wife became very ill in the late afternoon, I called Reception and they arranged an ambulance. The ground floor of the hotel will be completely renovated at the start of 2017 and will be completed by mid-February 2017. From the start of our renovations in January 2017 our leisure club and beauty salon will remain closed until Summer 2018, when we reveal our brand new luxury spa and a brasserie restaurant with an outdoor terrace, as well as 18 new exclusive bedroom suites.
