We stayed at the Mason Arms over the bank holiday weekend and cannot speak highly enough of the place.. Arriving mid afternoon we were checked in and were shown to our room without delay. We stayed in the Bowland Bridge suite which was first class, lovely furnishing and with fantastic views across the Lythe Valley. The outside space is great...

Stayed here for 3 nights over new year to celebrate our 10th Wedding anniversary. Absolutely loved it, luxury accommodation at an affordable price attached to a wonderful pub serving fantastic delicious non pretentious food. What more could you ask for? The views are spectacular, the staff welcoming & the outdoor heated seating area is a fabulous addition. We really couldn't...

Stopped in for a Saturday lunch in March. Pub was full but there were tables upstairs in the dining room. Slightly more formal but with great views. Food (pie, sliders, ribs, burger) were all fantastic and enormous portions. Highly recommended.

Having a lovely weekend break staying in the Strawberry Bank Suite at The Mason Arms. The accommodation is of the highest standard I have enjoyed with excellent service and tremendous Lake District views. I have been that pleased with our stay, that I couldn't even wait to get home to put a review up. This is an experience that I...

We have stayed and eaten at the Masons before and everything has always been excellent. Accommodation, food, friendly and efficient staff. Having been totally disappointed by Chesters we decided to try and eat at the Mason's on our way home, on the off chance that we could get a table. All the tables were taken except for one which had...

We have been here numerous times to eat and have really enjoyed the food. We decided to stay over one night on a weekend away with friends. I was really disappointed with the room, although the bed was really comfortable. I would advise not to have the rooms with a bed shelf or mezzanine, as in my room, the wardrobe...

Booked a weekend in the Cartmel Suite at the Masons Arms - very smart décor and a cosy place to come back to after a walk across the Fells on a bright, cold February day. The Masons Arms offers that cosy cottage type accommodation with the added advantage of being attached to a fantastic restaurant and bar with a great...
