Both meals were extremely good being of excellent quality with the Land of Cartmel ale being a very good pint. Whilst I cannot comment on the...

Room 2 overlooks the square and was lovely and clean with beautiful bedding and good quality towels.Complimentary water and toiletries were available. The hotel car park was full so the manageress gave us a dated pass...

We stayed a night in room 4. What a beautiful room with a view over looking the village square. The room was very clean and the staff very freindly. They explained where the hotel car park is. It is a little small but this is the perils of been in a small village. Breakfast very good and just what you...

While we note that accommodation in Cartmel is on the slightly pricey side due to the outstanding reputation of restaurants in the village, we did feel that The Priory was a little expensive for what it was in comparison to other places. Our executive room was ok but had quite a small bathroom and the bedroom did not have a...

We were looking for somewhere to have lunch and found this lovely place. Friendly and welcoming staff, food nicely presented, tasty and a reasonable price. Ate inside in a small dining room which was nicely furnished and felt very homely, Would definitely recommend.

We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms & I must admit I was very surprised by how small it was. The bathroom was tiny & the bed seemed tiny too! We stayed while visiting l'enclume which is why the hotels in cartmel are so pricey. The location was very central. Right in the square. We were on the front...
