We spent 3 nights here over the Easter weekend and had a great time, despite the poor weather on one day. On arrival we were quickly checked in and directed to our site. The man told us where and which way to pitch our tents (as I expected from other reviews) and asked us to move our cars to another...

Went easter weekend paid for 3 nights only stayed 2 as the weather was so bad. Campsite was very busy, eskdale in general is very expensive, £20 for 3 prepacked sandwiches and 3 bottles of coke ! Local pub food about £15 for a main course. So take plenty of spending money. Campsite is abit expensive they charge you for...

Got back from a two night stay yesterday. 8 adults. 5 children. 1 baby. 1 dog. We had such an amazing time. The campsite has to have one of the most stunningly picturesque locations on the planet - topped off by the "La'al Ratty" narrow guage steam train that winds it's way through the valley, calling at Fisherground's very own...

Helpful staff, great facilities, well organised set up. Fire pits and playground a bonus. Don't forget a stash of 50p's for the showers, which run very hot. Very close to the narrow gauge train station. Several good pubs in the area as well.

We spent four nights and had a brilliant time at Fisherground campsite. We will be back this summer. The fire pits and facilities are excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices and lots to do.

We camped here at the ends of the summer holiday so it wasn't too busy. The kids would have been happy to just spend all day clambering over the grassy hills/climbing rocks, and playing in the pond and adventure playground. It was perfect for our nearly 7 year old, though I think our 4 year old will enjoy it more...

This campsite is in a most beautiful place and is so nice to visit its heaven - there are lovely places around that you can pitch and it once got voted as one of the top 20 places to camp in the UK - the lovely steam railway runs by all day and eskdale is a beautiful place - but...

I'll begin with the positives. There are some, not least the aspect with a stream and narrow gauge steam railway on the periphery, all set in lovely Eskdale. Additionally, some of the camp workers were very pleasant and very helpful. Now for the negatives. Has this campsite been inundated with unruly people from sink housing estates, hell-bent on destroying everything...

Stayed 1 night so can't really give a full on review, but the ppl I met on arrival in reception were pleasant enough. I was shown the tent camping area by a decent bloke and told to pick any fire pit and pitch my tent (and not in any perticular direction) there. Would have given a better rating if i`d...

This site will make you say “wow!”, but not always for positive reasons. Our stay left contradictory memories of what could easily have been a 5 star experience. We arrived on a beautiful, hot summer afternoon (yes, really!) and were quickly escorted to our pitch. We had asked to be located next to a relative who had arrived earlier and...
