I stayed in an annex rooms across the courtyard and it was a nice modern, clean room. Everything worked great except the Wi-Fi which was VERY hit and miss. It was lovely and quiet at night so no problems sleeping. Breakfast was served in the main hotel which is much older and a bit musty smelling. Breakfast was reasonable quality...

Dinner and a drink was the plan for the evening and this is the place for the best pies in the county. Actually, the pie fillings are spectacular but the pastry is very disappointing. On the other hand, the salmon with Cajun spices totally hits the spot. The service is friendly, warm and swift and the best thing about the...

Stayed in the annex for the weekend, whilst the room was lovely and the fixtures were very high quality, the room lacked any personality with no pictures or ornaments. There was also a lot of empty space and an armchair would have been a nice addition. We had breakfast both days which was lovely with plenty of options and we...

Warm, friendly welcome upon arrival from Julie. This continued throughout our stay. The room was modern and clean with a TV and access to free wifi. The pies are immense and it's a great location for walking.

We stayed at the inn for a weekend break. From arrival to check out we were very well looked after. The rooms are fantastic and there has been some money spent on the place, very well done. The food was good and the real ales were excellent. There was a nice feel to the place and the staff/owners couldn't have...

My husband and I stayed here with our friends for two days and we loved it. We were put in the annex which was perfect. It had 3 lockable en suite bedrooms which were decorated to a really good standard, modern and very clean. The shower was so good and I'm fussy when it comes to showers. It was such...

We came here on the 16th July for one night only. When we arrived we were very fascinated at the old rustic style of the place. The staff greeted us very friendly and made us feel more than welcome. Aslo they told us about the area and places to go and visit which was very helpful. As we ventured upstairs...

I am very fond of old inns in idyllic settings so I was quite excited when arriving to Gosforth Hall, unfortunately I left with rather mixed feelings. I really wanted to like our stay there, but the flaws were too many to be ignored and shrugged off. We stayed in B7 in the annexe. The room was very plain and...

Stayed in annexe which seemed brand new and v clean. High quality finishes, very comfortable. Highly recommend for groups. Could do with a few pictures or something to make the really useful living area less echoey. Great choose between bars and restaurant for how informal or otherwise you want to go with full menu available throughout. Try the pies! But...
