Having been coming to this site initially as a child some 26 years ago and more recently, with relative frequency, with my own family I can only say it has rapidly gone downhill. The type of clientele attracted to this site now appears to be the sort who would rather polish their caravan and look down their noses at anyone...

My partner and I stayed here for 1 week with our 4 dogs. The site was beautiful and well maintained, and there are some excellent dog walks around the area. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly return there.

we stayed here in September for 4 nights and had one of the pre-pitched safari tents - we normally take our own but as this was a 3 legged vacation this was easier. Once we had checked in - issues with not being on the system fully (check the online site for all the confirmations) we were led to our...

A group of us went glamping in the ready tents. I was really disappointed and angry about checking in. Firstly I was coming from Liverpool on a Friday evening. I rang them to let them know I was going to be late and they basically told me if I did not arrive before 8pm then it was tough luck as...

We stayed here as we wanted to visit the Hawkeshead Brewery in Staveley. It was the first time we had used a C&CC site. It was nice enough although we prefer to select our own pitch, especially when it is not busy. We were shown to our pitch and then told where the water was so went to fill our...

Nice site well kept. Pub on site that does meals and takeaways. Really nice tidy site wild rabbits etc. Toilet and shower blocks immaculate and lots of privacy. Good Wi-Fi (chargeable). My only gripe they don't have super pitches with water and waste etc. I don't want to keep filling and emptying, Would definitely return though

We'd booked the last pitch - a grass one and the weather forecast wasn't good!! I arrived with visions of getting stuck on only our third outing in our motorhome. However, on arrival we were greeted by friendly staff who explained they had one hard standing but we might not want it when we saw where it was. It was...

This was our first visit to this site. It is a fairly large site, but is set out in secluded sections. The facilities were good & the shower blocks were clean. The staff were friendly. We had a meal at the on site pub The whistling pig. The meal was excellent and about average in price. Would definitely go back...
