We stayed as a family of 6 adults for our wedding anniversary celebration. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the large rooms are so warm and comfortable with luxurious superking size beds. You couldn't ask for better staff, they were excellent and we made some lovely memories. All the meals were outstanding and we are already planning our next visit. It was a pleasure to stay in this beautiful hotel.
One night very relaxing stay. Rooms great, lovely big very comfortable bed. The food and service was amazing!, could not fault it, all courses at dinner delicious and the smashed avocado and eggs Benedict at breakfast were lovely! Really hope we can come back again soon.
Wonderful hotel. Beautiful location, lovely room and very nice staff. Above all else though the food was outstanding. Exceptionally good. Complimented by the excellent service and reasonable price. Could not be faulted in any way. Very impressed.
Visited for an afternoon tea. Beautiful setting and delightful building. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Afternoon tea was delicious. Small finger sandwiches , a sausage roll, 4 cakes, a scone with cream and jam. Will definitely visit again and would recommend.
Wonderful hotel! Food was amazing views whilst having breakfast are breathtaking and the staff are lovely so friendly highly recommend would definitely come back close to Keswick town just a short drive
Yet again another few days at this hotel. Fabulose location ideal for walkers, great rooms, fantastic food in restaurant with amazing views. Friendly and helpful staff, with reflected low staff turnover.
Been a couple of times now, stayed over as well as meals for special occasions. Every time the service and food has been exceptional, staff are very friendly and genuinely helpful. The location and views are stunning whatever the weather.
Had a fantastic weekend here with my Wife after a gap of 14 years since our last visit. The staff were all wonderful, especially Orsi and Zoltan who were very pleasant and totally focused on customer satisfaction The food was out of this world and the atmosphere in the dining room and Lounge was also excellent. It's not cheap, but it's value for money for what you actually get.
A lovely, peaceful, friendly hotel just north of Keswick on A591. The staff are all welcoming and helpful. The hotel is not too large with just over 30 rooms. The whole establishment is clean and kept to a high specification. We have been visiting this hotel for over 30 years and have never been disappointed. The food is superb with ample choice and specials offered for your meals, including a good Vegan menu. We always book for Dinner, bed and breakfast as it is a few miles outside Keswick and the food is so good. The bar has a good selection of most drinks and fine wines. I have always booked directly with the hotel as I can discuss my room choice and am therefore not disappointed. Highly recommended!
We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights at Lyzzick Hall for my 50th birthday, staying with our friends. This is a beautiful, well looked after hotel in a tranquil location for sure. Whilst we enjoyed our stay immensely we found the accommodation to be a little lacking in detail, certainly given the rates charged. For example, there was no fresh water in our room, I had to ask for it and it was promptly delivered. No tissues, a lady needs tissues! I went to use the shower cap and the box was empty. No slippers, not a massive deal but again, the rate charged demands extras. We had dinner on the first evening (Wednesday) and it was not enjoyable unfortnately. We did pass this on to the restaurant manager, Hungarian lady who took our comments on board in her straight forward manner. The second nights dinner was much better, like there was a different chef on. We found the gentleman Sorba so accommodation and full wit and charm, so good at his job. Upon checking out the receptionist didn't ask if we had enjoyed our stay and didn't welcome us to Lyzzick Hall on our arrival, to me these are basic hospitality musts and this needs to be addressed. We found her a little hostile to say the least. The cleaning team, are superb and very friendly and the owner Dave too. The highlight was the Alpacas, such a joy to watch.…
