Visited this week with a girlfriend for lunch, she had been before and recommended it. We were greeted by lovely ladies working behind the counter, big smiles and really friendly. Nice menu with lots of choice - jackets, wraps, paninis, homemade quiche, salads and bigger options such as fish n chips. We opted for paninis with a side salad and...

Checked in after a huge journey, and although the queue was huge a genuine greeting was at hand. Now, lets deal with the Elephant in the room.....Workington.....I am rather travelled, but blow me if I knew anything about this place.....why is it there, and what does it do now ? So the 1970's exterior may give some foreboding, but the...

Visited twice over the festive period for family meals, Christmas Eve and New Year's Day. Both occasions were spot on, really friendly attentive service, the food excellent and to a high standard. Very nice surroundings in the bistro and bar area, with a relaxed feel. Well done to all the staff, for making our experience this year at the Washington...

The latte took twenty five minutes to arrive Fourty five minutes later I asked a waitress for any updates on the panini. She explained that there was a lengthy wait for them because they only had one...

Dear carol, It is with obvious sadness and regret from ourselves, that on your recent visit to the Central Coffee shop. You experienced a level of service that was not to our normally very high standards. We can get 'caught out' sometimes by the volume of customers ' in town' during the busy festive season. However to wait as long...

Brilliant night had by all at the Abba Tribute Night. Food was fab and plenty of it, entertainment fantastic. Only downside £4.20 for a pint of warm flat Fosters and £1.80 for half a pint of coke!! That said we would go back.

Hi Karen, Graet to hear that you had a thouroughly enjoyable evening attending our 70's and 80's Fancy dress party. The 'party atmosphere' that evening, was indeed 'bouyant' but a great night was had by all. We are glad you enjoyed the food, as it is often a challenge catering for and pleasing nearly 250 guests. We are already planning...
