We were quite shocked at the standard when we were shown to our courtyard room here, it was damp, dark and dismal. However, on asking to see another room, we realised that this is the general standard of this hotel. The room we settled for on the first floor of the main hotel, with a bit more light, was only...

After a long day attending an event at Donington circuit we just looked for somewhere to eat On our way home. Unfortunately there was a severe lack of staff, as there were a few walk ins looking for food. They even had to call on another chef to come in. We were greeted by a girl at front desk who...

Decided to stop here with a few mates (all students) on a night out in Nottingham. Couldn't argue with the price for our rooms and the all inclusive breakfast the following day. 6 of us, 2 to a room, worked out at £35 each. Staff were great; the chap at reception when we came back the following morning had a...

When we arrived we were a tad concerned at what we were going to experience. The outside is tatty and the inside decor is in need of ' a little bit of love' but considering the price we paid which included an amazing full English Breakfast you cannot complain. The staff were cheerful and very helpful and they arranged for...

We stayed over at Donington Manor and had mixed feelings. The goods things are the staff who were on the most part very competent and friendly. Some of the decor is interesting and funky. The food we had was well cooked and tasty. Sadly though the negatives outway the positives. The hotel has a tired feel, there are many maintenance...

The hotel is located very central in Castle Donnington, which great. The customer service was great. We booked a twin room at the last minute and asked if we could get a double room if any become available. When we arrived late in the evening we found out we were upgraded to a luxury suite. Which was really nice. The...

This is a stand alone hotel in the midst of a thriving small town and provides very good facilities for groups of people to meet and talk or eat or both. The bar and dining room are both warm and welcoming and the food above average. Well worth a visit.

Went here for coffee on a cold rainy evening and the place was deserted, with just a receptionist reading her book. the drinks were ok and the receptionist was friendly, but the coffee was served by what appeared to be a maintenance man, dressed in jeans and a tee shirt ! The experience was not unpleasant and I cannot comment...

We looked at dining establishments in Castle Donington and found this real gem amongst over priced paste premises nearby,it has old fashioned charm and smiling willing staff, the food was excellent and very sensibly priced, thanks.

Best afternoon tea we've had. We went off a voucher. And was greatest by friendly staff who sat us down in a lounge area, and then was given a selection of tea in little tubes to give us an idea of what we wanted which was really good, a nice touch. And the afternoon tea itself was very good, a...
