My husband my sister-in-law and myself had Xmas lunch here this year and it was lovely. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. My sister-in-law is disabled , my husband also has walking difficulties too. They obliged and opened up the main doors for us. The food was very tasty. I highly recommend it to any one who like to go...

Took family out for lunch. We had steak and potato pie, chips and mushy peas (to die for, definitely recommend), chicken in bbq sauce and sausage and mash. Large portions and very tasty. Great atmosphere sitting by the cozy fire. Also ordered a side of onions rings, ridiculously large but very nice. Def go back but can I be swayed...

Stayed one night as a birthday treat. Had a beautiful room with an extremely comfortable four poster bed and a good sized bathroom. All the food and drink we had was excellent. We particularly enjoyed glasses of mulled wine in front of a roaring open fire. All the staff were courteous and friendly. Would stay here again with no hesitation....

This old building has lots of character but caters for all the tourists that flock to the gift shops in the village so gets a lot of footfall. The dining room was modernised a few years ago and is adequate and quite comfortable.

We spent a week in Castleton and a lovely stay here. On arrival and throughout our stay the staff were friendly and helpful. We had a complementary bottle of wine waiting for us in our room which was a nice touch. The room itself was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. Nice four poster bed and roomy bathroom (spa bath...

We have been here quite a few times over the years and-have always enjoyed it. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the breakfasts are very good indeed, as are the evening meals, and always very popular. The one down side of this is? The place is always full.

My partner and I stayed here for one night. The pub is lovely with great food, the chip baguette is fantastic! The bedroom was very small but is fine for one night. The bed for us was too small which resulted in a poor nights sleep and there are lots of noises at night which are just down to the...

Having stayed here last year we had no hesitation in booking again this Autumn. The staff are friendly and always pleased to see you, the rooms are clean, well equipped and the complimentary drinks are a lovely welcoming touch. The bar and restaurant serve great beer and food and the cosy and relaxed atmosphere creates a great place to relax...

Needs a little TLC but this hotel has wonderful service, superb food with huge portions, and an excellent selection of ales and gins. The location and views are breathtaking. If you haven't visited Castleton you must.
