Gorgeous room, the photos do not do it justice. Friendly owners and they even treated me to a Madeira in the evening! Loved the fact that you didn't have to book for two nights over the weekend as we only had time to stay for a night. We will definitely be back, very peaceful and the roll top bath is...

My wife and I spent 4 nights, was very quiet even being close to the road, the house is beautiful, our room was a bit too red! But to be honest after a bit you get used to it! Comfortable! Near many beautiful places of the peak district! Breakfast was ok, to be honest they went over to make our...

Beautiful view, beautiful rooms and a good breakfast to set you up for the day. Although the room was small there was no need for it to be any bigger, it had been furnished and laid out so well that the space was put to an excellent use. With a comfy bed and one of the cleanest bathrooms I've seen,...

We have just spent x2 nights (9th & 10th Oct 2015) at Holmefield Guesthouse. It is close to Bakewell, Chatsworth and restaurants. On arrival the room (loft superior king) was very cold and it took three telephone calls to get the heating turned on. Kate (proprietor) advised us where to dine and helpully made reservations for us. The first morning...

The view out of the window was fabulous you even had binoculars to use. The breakfast was lovely with a nice choice...

We visited Holmefield Guesthouse for our Wedding Anniversary. We arrived on the Sunday with a warm welcome and shown around the B&B before going to our room which was very comfortable with a roll top bath in the room and separate en-suite. The views were amazing, walked round the gardens and had a drink in the garden from the "honesty"...

Holmefield Guesthouse is perfectly situated to allow visits to Bakewell, Matlock and Chatsworth House. The accommodation itself was also perfect! Our room was spotless and warm, with the roll top bath a particular highlight. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the morning breakfast delicious. The house is surrounded by amazing views and I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting the...

One night stop-over, large room, excellent en-suite. Top notch breakfast with beauiful view across the Dales inc. romantic steam railway. Useful facilities including honesty bar in the spacious and comfortable lounge. Sorry to only be staying one night, and despite some reviews complaining abou the proximity to the A6, we found it no problem at all and had a great...
