We arrived to amazing home made banana and pecan cakes and a lovely brew, Linda was a wonderful host and we were made to feel welcome straight away. The rooms we stayed in was massive, clean and lovely, the bathroom was spacious and plenty of hot water. Lovely little things in the room including a fan, hair dryer, wifi, toiletries...

This was our fourth visit to Bird’s Nest Cottage. My oldest friend and I cherish it as a base for annual pilgrimages to the haunts of our long gone youth. It is truly delightful. The accommodation has been ingeniously contrived around a core of two Victorian mill-workers’ dwellings, indestructible in the magnificent local granite that gives handsome Glossop its distinctive...

I stayed at this guesthouse based on the previous reviews on this website and confirm that it does live up to its excellent reputation. The guesthouse is very much larger than it appears from the road and is spotlessly clean throughout, very cosy and comfortable with 2 guest lounges 1 with large TV and selection of DVD's the other a...

We spent two nights on a family break at Birdsnest Cottage which we thoroughly enjoyed. Lynda and Lee were very welcoming to us and our kids (7 and 4) and helpful recommending places to visit in the area. The breakfasts were great with a wide choice to suit everyone. I chose the Birds Nest Cottage having searched on Tripadvisor for a suitable Guest House that was in a lovely location, but within a short drive to Manchester. I made the right choice since I found everything about the Birds Nest Cottage nothing short of impressive. Lynda welcomed me and showed me the lovely resident lounges (two of them), and...
