Food good but expensive and not a lot of veg on the Sunday lunch for £15. Pudding cost 9 pounds which is ridiculous. Service very slow in between courses. Customer service could have been so much better. Nice atmosphere and a cosy place though.

Nice place to come across in the Peaks but a bit pricey, food a bit salty. There is also the issue of the details of the dishes which they serve not being fully explained on the menu. A cheese sandwich, for example, is actually a cheese and pickle sandwich. Bacon is actually smoked bacon. This really needs to be made...

There is always plenty to choose from on the various menus at The Plough Inn, we chose from the one course ,two courses or three courses menu. Both of us had Rabbit which was delicious and plentiful with a side dish of seasonal vegetable. The rabbit was tender and the jus/ gravy/sauce was lip smackingly tasty.

We went for lunch, a group of us. The Drinks are extortionate- no other word for it, a small (175cl ) glass of wine is £ 6.75, Lager £4.00 per pint. This is a Pub not the Ivy in London.! Lunch was adequate, shown as £ 20 per two courses on the menu but when the bill comes its £15...

Stayed here over a weekend to celebrate our anniversary and it was wonderful. The room was nice and the bed was very comfy! We went into the pub for food and it was well priced and delicious. Staff couldn't do enough for you, I highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Plough for a short break on a special 3 for 2 night deal. We were given one of their standard rooms, which was perfectly nice, but we found the TV wasn't working and they couldn't fix it so the lovely landlady very kindly offered us an alternative room. It turned out to be one of their...

This pub is a real gem. Great food and beer, and most importantly a very warm and friendly atmosphere. Wide choice of gluten free dishes too! Our dog was very welcome even though he was a little muddy from a walk. We will definitely return when we are in the area :)

We were guests of family who took us to The Plough Inn and what a treat. It was quiet for a Saturday so we were made welcome and taken through the menu. As everything will be freshly prepared and cooked the service takes a bit of time but you're rewarded with decent proper food. My pasta dish was superb and...

We visited The Plough a number of times over the New Year period. The food we had was tasty and reasonably priced; I can thoroughly recommend the roast beef which I can honestly say was among the best I have ever tasted. The beer was exceptional, as well, with the Bradfield Yorkshire Farmer especially moreish. Service was friendly and the...
