We had a two night stay and the room was very nice. They are chalets set in the grounds and very nicely done. The staff were very friendly The food was adequate but nothing special and the evening meal prices were expensive for the meals we got. How they can justify £17.95 for an orange and lemonade and a pint...

This was booked through a wowcher deal, first impressions were quite good, the Inn lies in a lovely part of Derbyshire, close to Ashbourne. Accommodation is not in the Pub itself, but chalets in the grounds. They do need updating, ours was a bit on the gloomy side, although pleasant enough for a short stay. Breakfasts are quite well presented,...

We are not a pub but a 17 th century inn with rooms in the grounds. As to your pint barrels do come to an end and have to be changed, once it was realised it was changed and a new pint pulled. How can you comment on food you never ate. I feel you have a thing about forigners...

They are trying to do a good job but do not have the last step to make the quality of the accommodation and the food to be classed as the price they are charging for it. The room we had was very nice and clean enough but the bathroom had a number of defects. The food was very expensive compare...

We have just returned to Scotland after a 2 night stay in the Dog and Partridge, Asbourne and had such an excellent time. I would highly recommend this lovely place. The staff are friendly and helpful, the chalet room was clean and very nice. The food was excellent and the service was faultless. I am not easily pleased but I...

A quaint Inn with accommodation in the grounds. Lovely garden and views over the Countryside. Excellent food. Very convenient for attractions in Derbyshire. The only negative was poor wfi connection. Could only get it in reception and that was not always possible. However I believe they are addressing this.

We are here twice on a recent camping trip and left with mixed feelings, however I would like to stress that we would certainly go back. On our first visit the service wasn't very good at all however the la k of communication between the staff was what let them down most of all. I ordered a starter and my...

Booked this through a wowcher deal and the whole experience was poor. Hardly any staff spoke English and/ or could help with queries. Meal was included but again very disappointing. Left my starter because it smelt off. Left 80% of main course and again never once asked is everything ok. Room smelt fusty. Booked a 30 min private hot tub...

All our management and supervision staff are English,a few of our European staff speak fluent English, but a few don't, but this is a time of the times.
