I hate being negative and have never written a negative review about a cottage before. We have three properties ourselves and we stay in other peoples cottages several times a year. This was the sixth cottage holiday that we have stayed in during 2016 and it was the fourth Christmas that we have stayed in a holiday cottage. It is...

I am very sorry you did not feel welcome this is the first time I have heard this in the may years of being open and in particular please accept my apologies re the Christmas decorations. I was asked by the Agent if the Cottage would be decorated but advised it would not be but they would be available if...

We spent 4 nights in the barn with our dog. Location was fabulous and overall the cottage was lovely and comfortable- some quirky features- lovely stable door, leaning walls, skylights etc. Lovely comfortable bed meant a great night sleep.,As some other reviews, I'd agree the most disappointing aspect is the kitchen, it's quite dated but is a brilliant size and...

Location was great for walking, cottage was quirky, amenities in the village are good. Very disappointed with the lack of seating in the lounge, also very very disappointed in the lack of utensils etc in the kitchen, when this was bought to the owners attention seemed very dis-interested. Not worth the money we paid.

Once advised of the missing items and investigating the matter ( some of which were located by the guest on the same day so we're not missing) I apologised advising that the the others absolutely should have been in the kitchen but unfortunately a large previous party had moved some items around from one cottage to the other as they...

A nice cottage in a great location, Tideswell has lots of places to get a packed lunch or a dinner - either take away or sit down meal. The cottage itself is nice, although it was a shame to find dirty plates and glasses from previous occupiers. A few strange things; - No heating after 9.30pm, although there is a...

Fantastic weekend enjoyed by all our party. Having completed the Peaks Trek Fest we were greeted by our hosts with a celebratory glass of wine! Accommodation was excellent and had everything we needed. A home from home and very cosy and welcoming. Nothing a problem.

Comfortable and cosy. A group of us shared the two cottages that form the courtyard. We were made very welcome. The cottages had everything we needed for a weekend stay including the view of this really beautiful countryside from the top patio behind the house. Ideal for walking and pub lunches. Comfortable beds and log burning stoves. Fantastic.

We spent two weeks at the Cottage and had a super time hiking and cycling around the Peak District. The Cottage was very comfortable even if a bit small but as a holiday home it was great - clean, cosy, quiet and a great location. The kitchen was well equipped - well a few small extras such as oven gloves...

Fab location in Tideswell. Village itself is beautiful, would come here again but would chose different accommodation if taking a dog. Firstly we paid £30 for two dogs, not a problem but when given the list of rules relating to having a dog there it made you question the "dog friendly" statement they advertise. We were greeted by the owner...

A very pleasant stay in a nicely furnished property. The family were friendly and welcoming. Within easy reach of good walks etc. Enjoyed good food at The Anchor, Tideswell, Red Lion at Litton and Rowleys at Baslow. We would certainly book again if choosing that area of Derbyshire to stay in. Many thanks
