My husband and I stayed last week and were really happy overall. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. There's not much you can ask for really... other than a better breakfast! That wasn't good at all. Tips for breakfast: Friends stopped in The George round the corner and said the breakfast was brilliant. There was also...

Considering booking this hotel for friends who are visiting us next month .we had just come out of restaurant nearby after a lovely meal for my mother , the people in front of us were sworn at by three drunken foul mouthed men who were standing in the entrance area of the corn exchange swearing first at them and then...

We know that some rooms in the Corn Exchange have been refurbished to a good standard. However we are reviewing two of the older rooms. The price was high for room only, and awful rooms. Where to start...? Stained carpets, lights not working, threadbare towels, the shower was rubbish and had boxed off piping over the bath that meant the...

There's nothing wrong with this place at all, its clean, very well decorated and the staff are excellent. Yes - the language in the Public Bar was a little "lively" but there is also another bar which was much quieter and excellently laid out. Room was superb and breakfast one of the best I have ever had, its great value...

The pub is a proper pub, a rarity in its own right. Great ales and fantastic staff and management. G Food, howeve, excelled today! I had a simple liver and bacon served on mash with accompaniment of broccoli, carrots and cabbage. The liver was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth. Good quality bacon, in fact every element, was of...

Thank you for you feedback . I am very sorry to hear about the swearing in the back bar , It is a adult bar and we do try and keep the bad language down . The fighting incident had nothing to do with the corn exchange as it was over the road next to Costa , I am happy...

We had booked 2 rooms for 1 night, on arrival there was an air of neglect, the hanging baskets were shrivelled and dead, not the most welcoming arrival. The rooms were shabby and the bathroom was quite frankly yuk! Thick black mould around the bath, no soap etc. Bags of dirty laundry left along the corridor. When we told the...

Breakfast was average, but the highlight of the disappointing stay. The room was cluttered with wooden furniture which wasn't needed for a hotel room. It meant squeezing around the bed all the time. The room was uncomfortably warm for a summer's day and the window was left open for the whole stay. The bathroom was large, but dirty especially the...
