Food tasty and plentiful. Decor pleasant and service friendly. Not much in the way of ale choice but we enjoyed a nice meal here. The pretty garden has good seating and is ideal for relaxing in the sunshine. The conservatory is light and bright looking out into the garden. Opposite the very rural station it's convenient too to visit by...

Rooms neat and tidy if a little dated. Restaurant food is great. Brilliant cooked breakfast served in conservatory overlooking the garden. Service and staff are excellent. Definitely good value for money. Plenty of parking. Wifi a little sparse in some areas.

I stayed for one night at the hotel & found the staff, accommodation & food excellent! I can only assume that the recent negative reviews are malicious as it does not bear resemblance to the 'Jester' I experienced. Food was very nice & steak cooked perfectly. Nicely kept beer too! I will be staying again! Keep up the good work!!

Do you remember what hotels were like in the 1970's? If not this is the place to go to remember it as it's not been decorated since then. If you can also sleep next to a railway line you should be OK as they start at 5.30am and make your whole room shake. Then there is the customer service and...

I had a spot of lunch at the Jester today and I've got to say, the Bubble and Squeak was fantastic. Packed full of flavour and just the right amount of seasoning. The staff are helpful and welcoming, there is a roaring fire in the bar and a lovely garden out back for Summer. I will definitely be coming back...

A really nice little pub, just off the A505. Food was very quick and very good. The standard of service was pleasant and not over bearing. The hotel allows dogs which is useful. They had an open fire which is a nice touch.

Having spent an enjoyable Friday evening with great food at a Christmas party night at the Jester, I decided to book Christmas Day lunch. The 5 course meal was excellent and very good value for money, at half the price of most other places. The service was efficient and friendly. A faultless experience which made our Christmas Day special. Thanks...
