We stayed here to break our journey from Yorkshire to Dorset and it is a great location to do that situated where it is. There are great car parking facilities and the staff are laid back, friendly and welcoming. The room was good, we had a pleasant meal in the evening and breakfast was great and we were on our...

So my best mates wedding and I am best man, we had already had dinner at the hotel a few weeks earlier and were really happy with the food and TBH we have been frequent visitors over the years. Rooms were nice and clean, plenty of room and the staff really good, infact the staff went out of their way...

Visited for sandwich lunch, staff were extremely helpful regarding my gluten free choice and really put themselves out when making my choice. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and would highly recommend. Olde world charm in the building, definitely worth a visit.

Attended our friends wedding. On arrival they had messed our booking up for 2 rooms and only 1 room was booked for us. My husband had to sleep in a single room alone and I slept with 2 teenagers in a crowded double room. They erected a blow up mattress on the floor for me to sleep on which really...

We booked for dinner. We were not told when we arrived that there was a waiting time. There was no indication that we needed to order at the bar but we eventually worked that out. We waited for 45 minutes after we ordered with no sign of food or staff. After we enquired at the bar the staff checked with...

Came out for a quick bite to eat with step mum and baby, we both had the same starter of prawn cocktail which was very nice and then both had the luxury Mac n cheese which was the best I've ever tasted with three different cheeses my favourite being goats cheese. Wonderful service aswell especially by Lucy the waitress she...

Had a snack lunch here on Saturday. It was quite busy at about 1:00. The service was reasonably quick. The meals were a good size and reasonably priced. We parked in a free car park across the road, although there is a car park at the hotel.

Stopped on for a bite to eat after a long journey as this place looks lovely. Ordered the Brie sandwich which the menu claimed featured "roasted red onion and smoked tomato chutney" - yum! Except the red onion turned out to be raw chunks and the chutney was missing completely. To make matters worse, our sandwiches had clearly been left...
