We took a very very winding and treacherous road into Shelter Cove and found the town dark. The first hotel was closed with the lights on and then we found this treasure. We had to go around back to use the phone to get someone to check us in but it was well worth it. A very quaint room with... More

We have stayed at the Beachcomber several times, always in the three person unit pictured or in the unit without a kitchen behind it. The units are always clean and comfortable. They do have linoleum floors which gives them a dated look, but which is practical along the sandy coast. There are only two reasonably-priced options in Shelter Cove, and... More

As we arrived in Shelter Cove, so did a rainstorm that kept us from our planning hike/camping. A quick call to the innkeeper at the Beachcomber Inn and we were quickly convinced to stay the night in a large, clean, bungalow with updated kitchen, dining area and sitting area with wood burning stove and ocean view. #6 i believe. Price... More

We stayed at the Beachcomber Inn twice, first the day before our Lost Coast hike and then again upon completion. The inn keeper was very friendly and helpful during our stay. While not a modern resort inn, the place was very clean and functional. Some of the rooms used to be part of the family home, so each room is... More

We planned to hike the Lost Coast trail in June and due to a illness in the family had to reschedule to July. At every turn, the owners at the Beachcomber were accommodating friendly and happy to help. I truly appreciated all the flexibility they showed. Even on our way to finally check in and tackle the hike, we were... More

We randomly stumbled on this place and found it absolutely amazing. Most people say you get what you pay for, but the price on this this place is a steal! We were honeymooning from newport oregon and had plans to stop in San Francisco but actually cut that out just to make more time here. No regrets, room 6 doesnt... More

This is a great place to settle in for a few days. Some of the rooms are kitchenettes, as was ours, #6. Simple but sufficient, it has a bit of a view and deer wander by a couple of times a day. Sara was very nice and took very good care of us. The place is clean and well cared... More

Stayed several nights in #3, excellent. Stayed several more in #6, different , but just as good. Close to the fishing launch area and store. We paid $100 per night when the Salmon fishing was excellent. Best value Inn for the area. Very clean and well kept. Nice manager. Don,t miss the gourmet pizza down the road.

This was very good value for money. It was in a great location. The room had a lovely clean well maintained kitchen area and a good size room with good views of the ocean. Shelter Cove can be very misty and so do not expect to get constant sunshine. However it is an interesting place to visit. The Lst coast... More

i loved this place! The kitchenette had everything, I mean everything that you needed to get by for a couple of days. And they were good quality things, like stainless steel pans. The bed was so comfortable, I could have slept half the day! Given the choice of places to eat and hours to eat, this really offsets the price... More
