Great spot in the rainforest. Very peaceful with plenty of animals and birds to spot. Basic but clean and comfortable accommodation. Very friendly staff. Nice pool. You need to bring your own breakfast food. Restaurants and shops 10 mins drive away. Definitely need a car. Nearby is Lake Eacham. Great walk around it and beautiful swimming.

Basic, well priced, self contained accommodation. Great for large groups. We had eight people stay comfortably in one of the lodges. Excellent wildlife watching from the balcony including rat wallabies, bush turkeys, cat birds and riffle birds. A short walk down the path and you can see sugar gliders and striped possums. There is a nice communal area and pool....

We just pulled in and were fortunate to get a room. The staff was amazing and very helpful. We picked places to go eat dinner and had an awesome swim in Lake Eachim. It's an awesome beautiful lake with park facilities along the shore. It's minutes from Chambers via car. This whole area is very beautiful and the rainforest is...

Stayed here for 1 night pre triathalon at Lake Eacham. Room was average, sliding door into room was falling off and had no runners! Bathroom door actually fell off and guest was told by staff to fix it. Mr Chambers was eventually persuaded to fix it. Next we tried to use the microwave for dinner.....nope not working!! Spoke to Mr...

Firstly this review is actually a 3 and a half. The service at reception was perfect, she could not have been more accommodating and helpful. As most reviewers have pointed out, the rooms are tired. They need a paint, ours had 2 recliners which didn't recline and had rips in the arms, bathroom needs a paint, cupboard handle missing off...

Pros: About $90(U.S.): friendly & infromative hosts; comfortable clean beds; each unit has a porch and kitchen; nice pool and recreation room; chance to see night animals atthe covered sugar glider viewing platform; jungle and birdwatching all around. Cons: Front room and porch weren't cleaned well; only saw one animal in 90 minutes at the night feeders(it was raining hard...

The spacious (but slightly dated) lodges are in their own patch of rain forest, with a walk around the grounds that gives you a real feel for the habitat. There is also a night-viewing area for wildlife such as striped possum and sugar gliders. It is all self-catering and there aren't that many lodges, so book ahead. The nearby Lake...

This place is just beautiful. Peaceful & pleasant. With friendly service & fantastic amenities. A wonderful covered pool & an open sun deck. Wildlife viewing every night, we saw some super cute sugar gliders, but no possums. There is plenty of room for the kids to run & play. The lodges are clean comfortable & well equipped with everything that...

We arrived at Chambers Lodge for our final 2 nights in Far North Queensland after 4WDing and camping for one month. We decided to spend a few nights in a real bed and take advantage of the animals that call this property home as we are avid wildlife photographers. We arrived at approximately 7:30 to the viewing platform, not speaking...

I am very sorry to hear that your Nocturnal Wildlife Viewing was negatively impacted by other guests. We do not accept any tours or external guests onto the property who are not staying in our accommodation. The Russian Wildlife Group and guide you are referring to were booked into 3 of our lodges and had arrived on the second night...

A good location near Lake Eacham and Yungaburra, this will suit the traveller who enjoys bird life and wildlife. It is a comfortable lodge with few frills but a good base to use as a base for the interests. Also good to have a swimming pool on site. Few lodges have such a good pool and this was a plus...
