Came to Babinda for a family reunion. Stayed here for 2 nights. Couldn't recommend it enough. Staff are very friendly. Rooms clean and nice. Great verandah to sit on and watch the world go by. All round top experience. Thanks to Jaz and Shanee that work there. You both did a great job. And you made me laugh. Thanks again

We came for a cool beer and a light lunch and were not disappointed. The main bar area is HUGE..........and very "country". AND we got a sneek peek upstairs where the original T & G walls are very HIGH and the rooms are HUGE!! Wide open verandah across the front and a great cool breeze thru-out. Many a backpacker has...

We stayed here the night before hiking up Mt Bartle Frere two weeks ago. The room was Very tidy and comfortable with two big beds also a very clean ensuite. Well worth the price. We didn't have a meal here though but will give it a go next time Would definitely stay again

Though this hotel is nothing flashy, it was an excellent place to stay. Check in is in the Bottle shop of this 90+ year old hotel. We were led up the grand staircase to our room. As I stated before, not flash, but clean, with an attached toilet/shower room. We opened the door out to the balcony and looked out...

This is a great place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts, great meals from the hotels chinese restaurant and a pleasant place to enjoy a quiet drink. There are some great swimming holes within a few minutes drive and the boat ramp up the road provides easy access to the franklin islands for some great fishing

Drove into Babinda, having booked at the State Hotel sight unseen but backed up by some good previous reviews on this site. I was a bit apprehensive at first site, but once we were shown in to our room and paid the reasonable tariff of $85.00, we realized that we were to stay in a real period piece with mod...

Very happy with our stay at the State Hotel, clean and very comfortable with ensuite, air-conditioning, TV and fans. Recently renovated after "larry", still with the old world charm. The Hosts very welcoming, staff friendly and the Restaurant good food and great price.

This Hotel is situated in the middle of Babinda on the main street. From what I saw it would be the hub of the community. We stayed upstairs in rooms with their own ensuite which had recently been renovated. The beds were very comfortable with each room having their own television. There is a communal mini-kitchen for tea and coffee...
