No one as far as the eye can see. Everything you need. We watched the sunrise from our bed in the Reef Room. The whole back of the house opens to the veranda with views of the hills and water. Paradise. We were pinching ourselves from the first day to the last

A dream of a house in a perfect locations. The house is all the way up in cape tribulation and is superbly done with a large living area, beautiful bedrooms (with stunning views) and a oversized deck (bigger than some houses) The best of all are the views over the rainforest and the ocean. There is no other house in...

Just spent 4 fabulous days at The Sanctuary with beautiful end of winter weather. The accommodation with its wonderful deck view of the Coral Sea was something very, very special. Our host couldn't do enough for us during our stay. Once we got used to the steep, narrow and winding driveway we felt more relaxed. The only downside with the...

Lovely house with hihe terrace.overlooking the rainforest and the ocean, situated opposite cape trib beach house. Lovely place with every amenity one may need, very helpful caretakers and elegant decor....loved the place and my four year old is still asking when we will return to the brown house...10 days later, after only staying 2 nights there...only negative, no wifi, which...

Just wonderful. Loved this place to bits. Can't wait to go back. Everything about our stay at the sanctuary was perfect. Stayed in the reef room. The house is true five star luxury in the most beautiful place on earth.

We got to pretend this lovely house was ours for two great days, as like other reviewers we had the whole place to ourselves - such a treat. The view from the expansive deck alone is worth staying for - it is absolutely gorgeous to sit out and take in the forest and sea views. A couple of minutes drive...

I was lucky to find it on Google earth. I might not have booked it from the website. We booked 3 nites and it is really a very impressive house with a very nice view down to cap trip. On top of that we got the entire house all by ourselfs which made it extra special. I guess if you...

This place could not impress me any further than it has: massive ferns the size of a normal tree, incredible diversity of wild life, pristine wilderness and well kept pathways. This experience would have to be appositioned with that of actually visiting Jurassic Park. An amazing experience for anyone.

Arrival: The Sanctuary is set deep in the Daintree forest on a dirt road (a few kms off road). We arrived in early December before the wet season really set in but a 4WD wouldn't appear to be necessary to explore the area - we got around fine in a sedan. If arriving at night the Sanctuary could be tricky...

It is sometime since we stayed at the wonderful Sanctuary. But I recently found my travel diary and this has brought back many, very happy memories. We were expecting to share the house with others, but were very pleasantly surprised to find that we had the whole house to ourselves. Very romantic. The house is in a spectacular location, surrounded...
