You can probably remember a time when friends or family have recommended somewhere to go and it wasn't quite as good as you expected well.....this wasn't the case with Spring Creek Mountain Cafe and Cottages. It was everything plus more!!! The location was devine, accomodation lovely and cosy, food great especially hot freshly baked croissant and sticky date pudding! The...

We spent 2 nights staying in the Rainbow Lorikeet Cottage. It is a wonderful spot for a relaxing getaway, with the most amazing views from the picture windows. Our cottage was very clean and comfortable. It had a well equipped kitchenette that could be used for preparing a light meal. Once we got the fire going properly it was also...

Sue, thank you for your wonderful review. I am so glad you enjoyed you stay here. It is a wonderfully peaceful place with abundant wildlife. So glad you enjoyed your meals too. I have thought about rugs for the floors but there is the problem that some people may trip or slip on them. I am though, having new floors...

Heading back to Toowoomba after camping at Moogerah Dam, we called into Boonah Information centre and realising Killarney was only an hour away, off we headed. It was a beautiful drive even though quite late intraday and we were accompanied by bellbirds most of the way. The cottage was very clean, spacious and tidy. The fireplace and timber provided was...

Lunch was superb. The menu provided interesting choice and each dish that we had had that 'something special' plus excellent balance of flavours. The view is pretty impressive as well. Desserts were probably too large, but no complaints as they were delicious

Thank you Warren for visiting for lunch. We do appreciate your comments. We use as much local produce as possible and everything is made here on the premises. I always say, 'The food should match the views'

We recently stayed for a weekend in the King Parrot cottage. The cottage was fantastic with spectacular views over the gorge. Both sunset and sunrise were unbelievable and there is lots of wildlife such as parrots, wallabies etc. Queen Mary Falls are only a short distance away. The weather was cold (about 2 degrees overnight) but the cottage was warm...

We are so glad you enjoyed your weekend here at Spring Creek, and much appreciate your fantastic review. You are right, the sunsets and sunrises lately have been spectacular lately. The views are constantly changing. There are times that I, even after living here for 14 years, have to jump out of bed and take some pictures. This is indeed...

Went to visit the Queen Mary Falls and had lunch in the cafe. The Thai pumpkin soup was really great. The staff are nice and friendly. You can pay $2 and get a bag of bird seed to feed to wild rosellas, king parrots and Gallahs. Walk across the road and take an easy walk to the Queen Mary Falls....

This was a 2nd trip after visiting many years ago. It's still a great place with fabulous views, lovely friendly hosts, and close to many good spots for visiting. There's just 3 cottages and this time we had the 2 bedroom which also caters for disabled. Fire is wonderful and there's enough of a kitchen for a simple meal -...

We recently stayed for three nights for our wedding anniversary. Overall the stay was fabulous if very cold. On the first night our room was very cold and it took some time to warm up with starting the fire from scratch.I was cold all night and found the bed hard and uncomfortable. It definitely was a very cold time when you visited us Katherine, but glad to hear that you worked out how to get the maximum from the wood fire, the cottages are very well insulated, and with a good fire, become extremely cosy. We always make sure that there is extra wood in the wood boxes for the extremely cold...
