Touring Queensland and booked hotels as we went along. Rang to enquire about vacancies when we were in the area and got a great deal on 2 rooms. Loved the quirky drive up to the resort. WOW was all we could say when we arrived, the rooms were beautifully decorated with so many lovely touches, a little bottle of port,...

I spent a fantastic weekend at Cedar Park for a yoga retreat. The idyllic bush setting was perfect, as was the food. I enjoyed the bush walks and swims. The hosts are wonderful and overall it was a rejuvenating break.

What is the price of unique seclusion? If you are prepared to part with a large amount of your precious dollars and seek solitude and tranquility then Cedar Park may well meet your requirements; however depending on your definition of 'Rainforest Resort', it may not. As a (local) Queenslander, I have encountered many rainforests and (as an avid traveller) have...

We do encourage people to stay 2 or more nights, as one night is hardly enough time to relax and enjoy the area. Thus we give a big price break for stays of two or more nights. For us to completely clean a room after just a one night stay is expensive. This is made clear on our web site....

We took a group of four. Was easy to find and a beautiful location. Nice relaxing atmosphere and you don't feel overcrowded...the hosts are lovely and service attentive... For me the food was amazing, we all thoroughly enjoyed the buffet, not on mntion the divine deserts....some of the favourites of the night was the Pork Belly, kale and feta pastries,...

Glad you enjoyed it. We encourage people to stay over on a Friday so they can enjoy the buffet (in season). We do have curry on the menu sometimes, but we rotate it each month so locals returning get a variety. We will be bringing back the curry, thanks for your feedback.

We loved our 3 night stay at Cedar park & didn't want to leave yesterday. The relaxed atmosphere, delicious food & great hospitality from Maeve & Peter topped it all. Bottle feeding the baby wallaby and walking past the snake during our night walk will stay with us forever - brilliant. Thank you Peter for showing us the start of...

We enjoyed having you here. Maeve really enjoyed time with your girls. Its nice you stayed 3 days - we are always encouraging people to stay for more than one night, as there is a lot to do and it takes time. Maeve is here and says hi to the girls...

The drive to this lodge is so different and beautiful- it is an adventure in itself. It is off the beaten track but there are quirky signs on the trees along the way to guide you to the lodge with humour and intrigue. You turn off the main highway and then turn onto a winding dirt road. Once you reach...

My colleague and I stayed for two nights. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The host were more then welcoming. The house is amazing made from recycled material and done really well. There were many animals and amazing flora and Fauna to enjoy. It was nice to have breakfast included and good wifi. I will definitely be returning for...

How to describe this wonderful place? It's as if Swiss Family Robinson decided to open a hotel. The Rainforest Resort is peaceful and quirky, surrounded by Australian nature and inhabited by a wonderful American family who lets you into their off-the-grid lives. Minutes after our arrival, five-year-old Mavis was enlisting us to help her brothers cut down some coconuts. If...

Forget all the great reviews about this place. New ownership has taken over and it was a disaster. When we arrived there was no one there and we had to wander around shouting for 15 minutes to find anyone. It turns out that they no longer have a restaurant and it is a good 45 minutes to find another place....

Thanks for your review, I see you write mainly "terrible" ratings for places which have almost all good ratings. I am not sure what aspect of your stay was a "disaster". You sure seemed to enjoy yourself while you were here and made no complaints. I remember being complemented on the food I served you, and you ate it two...

Cedar Park is more than an experience it is a lifestyle that inspired us to think about our values and our impact on the natural world; a point of difference that cannot be replicated because it is what Jane and Peter and their children bring to the world.
