Forget all the great reviews about this place. New ownership has taken over and it was a disaster. When we arrived there was no one there and we had to wander around shouting for 15 minutes to find anyone. It turns out that they no longer have a restaurant and it is a good 45 minutes to find another place....

Thanks for your review, I see you write mainly "terrible" ratings for places which have almost all good ratings. I am not sure what aspect of your stay was a "disaster". You sure seemed to enjoy yourself while you were here and made no complaints. I remember being complemented on the food I served you, and you ate it two...

Cedar Park is more than an experience it is a lifestyle that inspired us to think about our values and our impact on the natural world; a point of difference that cannot be replicated because it is what Jane and Peter and their children bring to the world.

We recently spent two nights at Cedar Park Resort. This is not a typical motel, but a cool family run Eco resort in the bush. It's not fancy - no tree top rooms or luxury items, but very authentic and pleasant. Peter quickly showed us around when we arrived, and we weren't sure what to do with ourselves at first....

We have just spent three nights here, our second visit in two years both times travelling as two family couples. Peter and Jane have done a great job in carrying on the wonderful tradition of fine service provided by the previous owners. The meals were superb, particularly the Friday night buffet and the breakfasts had an abundance of fresh, local...

We spent a night at the Cedar Park Rainforest Resort a couple of weeks ago on our way to Kuranda as part of our drive around Australia. This may have been one of our best stays so far on our trip, the place is remote, it’s no frills, no TV, no phone service so people can actually unplug as they...

We stayed here in Sept of 2014 and it was beautiful and remote! The previous owners were the chef and the keeper and they provided an amazing experience for us. It was our anniversary and they made a great dinner and dessert to celebrate. The room was amazing and in the morning, we made coffee and just listened to the...

This intimate and friendly getaway resort is nestled in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful rainforest setting. The building is unique and it is a bird watchers paradise. The meals are plentiful, the mood relaxing and the guests feel very at home. Sally G

What a great little place in the middle of nowhere. Off the highway, this property has no TV and no phone service which adds to the ambience of the place. Laze on your own private hammock overlooking the rainforest, listening to the sound of the creek nearby. The rooms are unique with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The...

We stayed here for one night before our flight back to Sydney. It is def very relaxing and the owners are very nice. You definitely need a car to come here. The rainforest is located next store but you do need to cross a creek to do the walk, in which you would get wet so we did not do...
