Only marginally better, I believe. Rainfall in the wet season is remarkably variable,and you just have to take your chances.

Hello, There is a difference of between 4 and 6 degrees in temperature between Cairns and the tablelands. we are almost 8oo metres higher . during our wet season we can get up to two metres of rain for the season, so it is... More

Although there are lots of trees about, I seem to remember the view from our cabin was quite open with hills in the distance
