My family loved our stay at Solothurn. We have 3 kids (12, 9 and 4) and they all really enjoyed the activities on the farm, especially feeding the animals and the tractor ride. The kids especially enjoyed playing with the family's 3 dogs, in particular Bolt. Anna and her family were always friendly and helpful and made our stay on... More

We had a great weekend away at Solothurn with our friends. Even though the weather wasn't great there are heaps of farm activities to keep the kids entertained and the township of Maleny is only a 5 minute drive away. Whilst the chalets are quite cosy and comfortable, they are quite old and dated and could do with some simple... More

Solothurn is a Rural Farm stay located app 6 km from Maleny and is easy to get to. Located in the Sunshine Hinterland it would be a good location to explore the area more widely. However we spent nearly all our time at the property because there is so much to explore and do. This was a great 3 day... More

We really had a wonderful farm stay and I wouldn't change a thing. Our chalet accommodation was clean and had everything we needed (including a lovely view and a fire pit to toast marsh mellows). It was school holidays and full, but it never felt crowded. It was relaxed and we had our own space around the farm. Our kids... More

After packing up the car with no destination in mind we ended up at the farm. BEST decision we made. Our boys had a absolute ball. We stayed in the stone cottage, reminded us of the olden days. A small fire place in the corner kept us nice and warm. Our boys fed all the animals, enjoyed the tractor ride... More

I rarely write reviews, but felt that I should say a few words about our stay. I cannot fault anything. The property, animals and activities were all wonderful. Anna and Richard were great hosts & we will definitely be back. We cant wait!! It is a wonderful place for families but I would also stay as a couple. The grounds... More

For $210 a night for 3 adults the accommodation was extremely disappointing. It is very clear as to where the money was being spent, the land itself is gorgeous but the cottage was dusty, dated, and downright depressing. To then read the manual to be threaten with a cleaning fee if the cottage was left untidy was completely ironical for... More

We stayed 4 nights which wasn't long enough, however, surprisingly we did relax as it was so comfortable and well organised. Each morning the cow milking, animal feeding occurs; and this was great in the cool, crisp mornings, Our girls (8 and 5) loved it from the first morning, but mst too-cool-10 year old took a little while to warm... Very relaxing, professional management. Very clean and good accomendation. I liked the bushwalk and running. Lots of friendly animals. Kids will have fun feeding them. The tough ones even get to try handmilking. The Hinterland gives cool nights, sjarm days.

Wonderful family experience with lots to do. Grounds are immaculate, accommodation basic yet comfortable with breathtaking views and lots of friendly and very happy and well cared for animals. Kids were happy so we got lots of time to relax and enjoy the experience too. One of my kids was in tears leaving! We will be back. Thanks Richard, Anna... More

“if you have young children maybe ask fr cottage 1 as it is close to the homestead and has flat yard for the kids to play. Otherwise if you go with a group the chalets might be a good choice as they have great views and are away from the homestead so making noise wouldn't be too much of a concern to anyone.”
