We really enjoyed our stay at mission beach, you feel like your on you own secluded island. We stayed in a beach cabin, which are older, but comfortable and everything we needed for the night, with beautiful beach views! The staff are really friendly, the receptionist Heather even came round and picked us up in the buggy because there was...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are always delighted to share the cassowary sightings in the park. We see them most days, but you have to be quick before they disappear back into the rain forest. I am thrilled that you had such a great experience and I will pass this on to Heather as...

We have stayed all over Australia. We travelled from Perth through the centre and up to Cooktown down to the gold coast and back. I only say this to give you perspective. This is hands down the most friendly park we stayed in. The staff and owners at this place go out of their way to ensure you have a...

I stayed here with my husband and 10 month old son whilst travelling down the East Coast in a motorhome. We had a powered site and it was quiet and well situated. The facilities were excellent, with good laundry facilities and shower rooms which included a baby bath. The swimming pool was excellent for us and our baby. The site...

A very well maintained site with lots of amenities that were very clean and well equipped. We had been in Northern Queensland for quite some time and hadn't seen the elusive Cassowary, despite trying very hard. We had only been in the park for a short time when a Cassowary with two chicks appeared by the BBQ area! My only...

Hello. I'm so pleased that we were able to "tick off your wish list" of seeing the endangered southern cassowary. The father and two chicks are regulars in the park, up to 3 times per day, along with a large solitary female. There are a number of local restaurants/bars locally but I believe they may have been having a well...

Our cabin was clean and had all the basics. A cosy veranda with ample for room for two. Great for a weekend away or a long weekend. The cabin is a little too compact for extended stay, particularly if you have to cook meals. The pool is wonderful, the landscaping enticing, a great area to spend time reading and dozing...

Mission Beach is the perfect combination of rainforest and beautiful beach. We spent hours at the lonely beach and in the beautiful nature around. We even saw some casuaries with chickens. And the Camping is very clean and have everything you could wish.

We needed a getaway and somewhere to relax and this was the best place to do it! We packed our tent and sleeping gear and jumped on a plane from Melbourne, hired a car and came here. After one day here I felt I'd been here a lot longer. Peace, quiet, warmth and a pool to plop into when I...

We stayed for two nights in our motor home on a powered site. Excellent facilities, nice clean toilet block and laundry area, good sized camp kitchen with additional bbq's located nearby. Free wifi with good signal and download speed. Good shop that also sells pizza and fish and chips. Nearest bar and restaurant is the surf and lifesaving club about...

I stayed in a cabin with ocean views for one night. Although a bit dated, the cabin was. The refrigerator was not that new and it was relatively small compared to others we had in different caravan parks. Nevertheless, I found everything I needed to prepare our dinner. Check in was very fast and the lady at the counter was...

This site is at South Mission beach. Lovely landscaping. You may see a Cassowary in the grounds. Good clean facilities. No hairdryer in ladies. Good camp kitchen with seating. Small shop and takeaway. Beach is 1 minute away! Quiet.
