We have visited the lodge 3 times now; first in 2010 and twice this year having moved to Australia - it's a perfect place to chill out for the weekend (we have also sent several of our expat friends here). It is located just 5 minutes drive from the centre of Mission Beach, however tucked away into a nice little...

Hi Paul - many thanks for your review. Mission Beach is a great place to chill out for a couple of days. Plenty of adrenalin activities, plenty of quiet activities and plenty of relaxing and unwinding. And we also look forward to your 4th visit All the best Mick and Sue

Mick and his wife have done an amazing job with their business. The grounds are spectacular and the pool is salt water and refreshing. Atmosphere is serene! A local cassowary comes to visit most mornings so if you are wanting to see one this is the place to go. Rooms are clean, breakfast has many home made options, and delicious...

We stayed for 2 nights in this beautiful b&b. The host welcomed us very warmly and gave us a delicious bottle of wine as welcoming present. They were very obliging by recommending restaurants, places to visit and explaining the wildlife. The room was very clean and cosy. You woke up every morning with the sounds of tropical birds. they even...

We did a 2 night stay here while exploring Mission Beach and I felt as though I was staying in paradise. The gardens and pool are just beautiful, and the rooms have a lovely veranda and chairs outside for sitting and enjoying it. Breakfast was delicious, with a huge range of things to choose from. Would definitely recommend this b&b...

We have not long returned from a family holiday in Australia, during which we were lucky to have spent the last 6 days staying in this beautiful location. It's clear to see that Mick and Sue want to offer their guests the very best of stays and work very hard to ensure that the accommodation, grounds and scrumptious breakfasts are...

As other reviewers have said, Licuala Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The gardens are so beautiful and relaxing. We could not have been happier with our accommodation either. We stayed in the King Suite, which had a beautiful bedroom, ensuite bathroom and separate sitting/lounge room. The hosts are wonderful and welcoming. Included in the tarrif is a delicious...

Hi Marie - sadly not much that we can do about the weather - it is what it is. When we are away on holiday then all of us would I'm sure prefer warm, sunny, dry days. Rain is OK if there is just a little bit. But on the bright side, walking in the rainforest in the rain is...

A warm welcome by the owners, beautiful secluded spot. The house is a very well designed and maintained kind of plantation building. The infinity pool is great. Hi Pollyanthus - yes we did get the key back, thanks :-) It's amazing how many people do leave with the key, and of course it's always my fault for not asking for the key.
