My partner and I went there for my birthday because we thought it was a going to be a luxury holiday. The reasons for the low rating are as follows: - don't depend in the complimentary pickup service. We waited for 2 hours in Port Douglas then told that we shouldn't expect much since its complimentary. -restaurant is very expensive...

Dear HappyforLife It is disappointing for us to receive your review. With regards to the complimentary transfer service there is only one scheduled per day that is included with the room rate. Outside these times it is possible to arrange transfers at a charge. We cannot understand why you would have been waiting in Port Douglas for two hours unless...

We visited 10 years ago before Trip Advisor even existed and wondered if it would be one of the too- rated resorts in the World and it is. My husband and I spent 2 days here after a dive trip to the Great Barruer Reef and we thought we were in heaven!

So beautiful, peaceful and private. We loved every minute. I especially loved swimming in the Mossman river and having it largely to ourselves. The Xmas degustation lunch was special and a real Masterchef experience. I loved the oils burning in our room, the Lindor balls on the bed at night, the soft music playing in the evening, the hammock on...

We stayed for 6 nights over Christmas 2014. The place was really amazing. A central lodge with bar, restaurant and reception. The rooms are all 'tree houses' (cabins on stilts). We arrived early, 11am and they were great about early check-in. We stayed in tree house 47 which was the furthest from the lodge. It was perfect as it was...

We spent 3 nights here over Christmas. Overall, we left feeling like the resort is over priced and service is under par. The setting is beautiful. Our room was nice and we enjoy sitting out on our balcony one evening and listening to the birds. It is close to the Daintree and about a 20 minute drive from Port Douglas....

Dear beachbreeze66 Silky Oaks Lodge is an Eco Lodge and not a resort and this may have been a misconception prior to your arrival. The average length of stay is 3 nights and we consider that we are a lodge with a relaxing environment for those who want to sit back and enjoy the rainforest. If a guest wants more...

Beautiful accommodations amongst the trees in the rainforest. We did the rainforest barrier package, all great services. Make sure the specify before if you would like to dive instead of snorkel on the reef. There is a lot to do on-site swimming, hiking, kayaking, reading in the hammock, never gets boring. The food at the resturant is decent but if...

We stayed here for three nights as part of a two centre package covering the rainforest and barrier reef we booked with a travel agent. The Good The setting is superb and worthy of 5 stars. The Accommodation is also superb, a 4/5 let down only by the lack of replenishment of toiletries which were not replaced during servicing of...

similar setting as the Mejangan with tree-top restaurant (north Bali), but higher quality and more a boutique hotel. riverside cabins worth to pay for. excellent rooms. did not miss the lack of a tv, as sitting on the veranda is good enough. alternatively sit in your jacouzi. swimming/hiking canooing in the Daintree is really nice. spend three days, which was...
