This YHA guesthouse was built as the Arcadia Guest House in 1914 for holiday seekers from Adelaide. Later, it was converted to a nursing home before becoming a youth hostel. The back of the house was recently extended to accommodate more guests and has a great back garden with BBQ and deckchairs and a small car park. Room 4 was...

this hostel is because I might not be able to get in next time. This is my most favourite YHA hostel and I've done most of them. I'll detour 1000kms just to have a few days here. The hostel was a guest house and it's been done up beautifully inside with the original features but also a beach house theme....

I decided to spend the night at the hostel to save myself the 1.5hr drive back up to Adelaide and I'm pretty chuffed with the decision. It was very decently priced and I actually had the room all to myself. It was very clean and well maintained and it was nicely situated a bit away from the buzz of town...

The location of this luxurious YHA is simply amazing. It's set in a magnificent old mansion overlooking the ocean. Kitchen facilities are excellent and the rooms are lovely. Treat yourself and stay here!

This youth hostel has everything going for it. Set in a beautiful old heritage building, it commands wonderful views over one of the most beautiful and popular beaches in South Australia, Horseshoe Bay. The rooms are bright, cheerful and very clean. You can choose shared bathrooms or some rooms have en suite. The common areas and kitchen have excellent facilities...

Loved this hostel! The best hostel I have stayed in my far. I wouldn't even rate it as a hostel to be honest. It is more like a boutique hotel. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it was lovely. Everything was very clean and tidy and all felt new. The kitchen was great and well equipped. The lounge...

We needed a nice place to stay for the evening, ended-up staying 2 nights here. It was late in the day, the wind was blowing hard off the ocean, and the temperature was in the low teens. We did not want to pitch our tent this night. Arrived and was greeted by Steve. Wonderful young man who has been in...

Lovely, 2 storey stone beach house, built in the early 1900's. Has been lovingly restored and painted inside. My first impression once inside was of Steve the manager - so welcoming and extremely helpful with things from other bookings to helping me sort some IT issues. Exceptionally clean and tidy. Well spaced out with large, well equipped kitchen, large and...

I was quite excited as I saw the beach house from a distance in the minibus and boy wasn’t I disappointed when I arrived at the entrance. Friendly staff who greeted me and my friends added to the warm atmosphere of the reception area. After a simple check-in we went ahead to place our luggage in our room which we...
