Detailed Reviews
My friend and I shared a room while attending a conference at The Columbus Convention Center. The hotel location was perfect for us - directly across the street from the Convention Center! It is also a block from North Market and several restaurants.
Our room was clean and cozy. It was large enough for us to unpack our belongings and conference materials without getting in each other's way.
The gym is larger than I expected. I utilized it both mornings of my stay, and it was never crowded.
The breakfast was better than average. Being a vegan, I appreciated fruit and a big pot of oatmeal. I noticed that they also offered eggs, meat, potatoes, cold cereals, and breads, along with juices and coffee. The breakfast attendants did a great job keeping everything replenished and clean.
Best of all were the staff members at the front desk! Clifford and Carrie took excellent care of us. When we arrived, the power was out, but they kindly stowed our bags and answered our questions. They were warm, friendly, and informative; exactly the right people to work the desk!

Hotel's Favourite
We had a great stay. This hotel always meets our expectations. If you stay on the weekend you will love Clifford as he greets you in the breakfast area and in the lobby. He will put a smile on your face. The property is clean and the rooms are fantastic. I always stay there when visiting downtown columbys.

Great location downtown right next to the North Market and an easy walk to anywhere in town including the Nationwide Arena. Helpful front desk staff. Room was very comfortable and despite its central location, I was not bothered by any street noise.

I have stayed at this location at least 5 to 6 days per year since the day they opened the hotel.
We are a group tied to another group and every July block about 40 rooms.
Asked for our rooms to be made up as we had 330 (penthouse) used for buisnees meetings snacks and drinks. was barked at by front desk that I didnt ask 24 Hours before well I was only told to ask each day, Reception said no must be 24 Hours before. I did not know Hilton changed policy, most of us did not know.
Now these are big changes for most travelers, I am a lifetime Diamond ...so I asked, do you not think it would be a good idea to have these new policies noted at check in either on a sign or an insert note in the keycard jacket?
Then that night (Friday) I asked for room to be cleaned next day, next day no room cleaned as we now had another surprise... no cleaning, no towels zippo on weekends and I flipped... I asked and why didint you think that was important to tell me this the other day knowing that I used the room to entertain?
Two customers (Thats the ones I know about) in our block checked in late at night and when getting to room found sheets, pillows and all bath towels on floor, they went down to front desk (Around 11:30 PM) and found that hotel had no solution only to say we have no more rooms sorry!!
Well they said just give me towels and sheets and I'll do the room myself.
I can go on but you get the drift.
What is upsetting is the attitude front desk folks had they were politley combative.
Rule after rule was changed, Hilton Corp. made the policy to clean rooms only when asked in all Hilton brands except super luxury, but no weekends cleaning period is on the property.
Any rate discount no, no more that typical discounted rates.
Every day in elevator and at breakfast the buzz was confusion and bits and pieces of notice of these changes but only when you asked, how convienent.

The Columbus Hampton is a home away from home. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, and you can always count on some hot coffee or hot tea when you enter the lobby. The complimentary breakfast has a great variety and the location across the street from the Convention Center is a huge bonus! It is our first choice when visiting Columbus for events.

I travel to Columbus multiple times a year to do site visits. This hotel is my go to place. On site parking for my rental car, available from 6am to 11pm. Rooms are spacious with areas to plug in and do some work (if you want to). Location allows for numerous food options in a 3 block space in all different types...burgers & Brews, mexican & tequila and steak house - all good by me!

3 night stay, standard king room. Large hotel, completely booked our first night there. Super convenient to restaurants, breweries, and bars. Everything in walking distance. Safe area. Comfortable night sleep, quiet, clean room. No housekeeping unless requested. Typical Hampton hot breakfast (which is good) that changed up the menu a bit on all 3 days we were there. The only issues we had were overall cleanliness in areas other than the room. Breakfast area was never wiped in between diners. The area WAS cleaned after breakfast was over, however. The hand sanitizing machine was empty 2 of the 3 days we were there. The gym on the 2nd day looked as if someone had a party in there the previous night. We informed someone and it was immediately cleaned. Other than those couple issues, overall a very nice stay, and would definitely stay again.

This is a perfect hotel to stay for your visit to downtown Columbus. Everything is in walking distance. The arenas, shops, and restaurants are right there. The hotel is very clean with a big breakfast area. The staff are incredibly friendly. Valet parking is the only option, but the staff are quick and the cost is very reasonable.

We stayed this past weekend. The hotel is nice enough, however the soundproofing is horrible. The room next to us had a party until 4:30 am and we could hear pretty much everything they were saying. I didn't sleep at all until they finally ended their party. Then when we got home, I had a $138.00 extra charge. I had pre-paid (in January) a rate of $157.01. With taxes and fees, the total was $201.94. Now, I have an extra $138.00 charged to my debit card. Valet parking is $30.00 which I was expecting, but I have no idea what the extra $108.00 is for. I contacted the hotel this morning and was told the front desk couldn't find the information for my stay and I would have to speak to the manager. The front desk attendant took my name and number and said the manager arrives at 8am and she would personally give the manager my information. I originally called at 6:53am. I called again at 12:18 and left a message on the managers voicemail and I called again at 4:23 and left another voicemail. This is unacceptable! I will never stay at this location again and may not visit a Hampton Inn & Suites if there are hidden fees.

I just wanted to let you know how much help Giovana was in helping me get on the internet. Her expertise resolved the problem very quickly. The room had a seal on the door so you knew no one was in it after it was cleaned and before you entered it.

I would say yes, but call to be completely sure.
No shuttle service but you can Uber
There was not a shuttle. You can walk, but it's about a 20 minute long walk. Other than that either a city bus or Uber would be your options.
There was Valet parking and it was $25
no... taxi around $22 from airport
