Hotel's Favourite
This is an excellent place to stay if you are in Columbus. From the time we stepped out of the vehicle and the valet worker took our car until the time we departed we felt very taken care of and attended to. The room was clean and spacious and the breakfast buffet was good. The only thing I didn't care for were the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers in the shower. It make me think about how many people had touch them prior to my visit. I will stay here the next time I an in Columbus.

Was very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. We had a king room, which the bed was very comfortable, and we were located on the 9th floor. We didn't hear any noise and room had blackout curtains. I really liked, and wish more hotels would do this, is have a nightlight installed in the bathroom by the light switch. This was very nice as we didn't have to turn on the main bathroom light while using the bathroom in the middle of the night. We had a cocktail at the hotel restaurant and service was quick and the restaurant has a fireplace which was very cozy.
Location is great for a hockey game, or if attending an event at the convention center. There is a walkway to the convention center so we never had to walk outside.
We parked in a garage behind the hotel which was $20 for night. Hotel had valet for $25.
Overall I would stay hear again

I decided to get my wife a hotel room as part of her birthday celebration.
Searching for a nice hotel that you have not stayed in, in the city that you are from can be tough. I stumbled across Sonesta and fell in love with the lobby. It was settled, we are staying at Sonesta!
Let's just say, I was not disappointed.
All COVID protocol was in place. Plastic between you and the receptionist, masks being worn, etc.
We landed on the fourth floor. The first thing that I noticed was how quiet the hotel was for a Friday night. I loved it.
We entered the room and it was perfect. The remote was in a plastic bag and there were alcohol wipes. I am in love!
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and there was plenty of light. The bathroom was a nice size and there was plenty of seating in the room as well.
We only stayed for one night so I hate to talk up this hotel so much but everything just worked well for us.
The location is nice is well. Too bad it was super cold so we could not walk around, but we will be sure to visit again during the Summer so we can take advantage of the location. There are restaurants in walking distance.
All and all, we had a fabulous time. No stone was left unturned. Even the cards to enter your room are discarded in a safe manner.
Parking is pretty standard. You can valet for $35 or park in the garage around the corner for $25.
Happy travels!

A single night stay at the Crowne Plaza which is directly connected through a connected walkway (unheated) to the Convention Center via a 5 min walk in the second floor through a special elevator (handicap accessible). The check in for both is in the Crowne Plaza. The Lofts are accessible by walking outside on the lobby level through the driveway (shared) or via the 5th floor where there is an unmarked door to the Lofts near room 545 but you need a Lofts key. No key is need to move between the Lofts back to the Crowne Plaza.
There are two hotel sections—one is the Crowne Plaza with standard rooms and the other is the Lofts. I stayed in a Loft Suite with high vaulted ceilings and a large living room with sofa and a TV. The bathroom was large with a jacuzzi sized tub and a large bedroom with a king bed and view of the Convention Center.
Breakfast was $22 for and adult and $12.50 for a child in the lobby restaurant of the Crowne Plaza. The reception desk was well staffed and efficient. The Crowne Plaza side might benefit from a refresh but still a good choice for downtown.

Our family has stayed at this location every year the Blue Jackets had a game. This was the first time staying since their “renovation.” Traveling with three other family members and they followed us to check in as well. The front desk lady let us do early check in which was really nice since the game time changed. We were able to settle in and go to the game.
When we got back they had an event that was pretty loud on the 2nd floor, but once we got to our rooms couldn’t hear due to being on the 4th floor.
We went to dinner at Vine + Forge for the “New Year’s Eve Special.” Asked the server for that and she had no idea that was even a thing even with the post that was made on Facebook. This started the disappointment of our trip. 20% gratuities for more than 6 in a party so we split up our tables. Then they weren’t able to split checks for two different parties. The server/bartender just simply didn’t want to be there and you could tell. The manager had no clue about the special, our food was decent, but overpriced for hotel food.
For New Years in the last this hotel would have party favors for New Years, this time nothing. I asked about the champagne special that I saw online since our rooms had been booked by another person in our party and if I could add it for the extra charge. They simply said no and left it at that.
Our room was small, but the beds were comfortable. The lights in our room would randomly turn on and off as well as the tv dimming. We simply turned off the light and the tv was just dimmed.
The next morning when we checked out there were more issues with the valet and the manager Norma. The attitude was poor and with getting “disconnected” from the valet when questioning them about our car.
This location was wonderful before changing brands. Even with the renovations that were done it was simply cosmetic. Attitudes need to be addressed. Communication between the social media team and the restaurant. $42 for valet. No breakfast. Overpriced rooms.

My room 325 however in the room everything was labeled 335. It was clean and modern looking. I had a decent view. I Would like a light above desk. I found my friends room did have them. Above bed cute little reading light. My room was stuck on 60 degrees. My fault should have let desk know I couldn’t move or change thermostat. Eating downstairs. They do not have enough staff. Breakfast is self serve but at $23 is too much if you don’t eat a lot. Oatmeal $4 Orange juice is $4 ala cart. Check out a little slow when eating only one person to check you out and if there is a lot of people it can get a little slow. Might just go to where all the restaurants are and grab a bite. I was here for conference so coffee was hard to get when everyone was getting coffee. There is a coffee pot in room but no creamer. You would have to go downstairs and get some.
Valet parking only. It does have skywalks to convention center just watch that sharp turn to the right.
Went out through the convention center to eat and most doors will lock if you stay out to late. We did manage to find one door unlock or we would have had to walk around the block and go through another hotel. (It was raining).

We came to stay for a business conference. This is the window in our room. It’s has two sets of drapes with pull bars. The sheer drapes completely open and close. The blackout curtains are only a foot long on each side, and do nothing to stop the lights from the giant convention center across the street, from permeating our entire room.
The complete lack of trash liner bags is annoying and gross, especially with a multiple night stay, and the pandemic shut down of room service is well overdue to be brought back.
We purchased a few snacks from their little shop. The expensive gourmet popcorn, $10 for 2.5oz, was stale and gross.
The bedroom is set up so the bathroom directly faces the bed and the window, a very odd setup.
The “free guest Wi-Fi” has not worked during our visit, luckily we travel with a hotspot.
The lady at checkin told me this was a perfectly safe area to walk around, however the few blocks I walked to the North Market had me encountering numerous hazards, and a very confusing and dangerous maintenance of sidewalk traffic. Then there was the panhandlers. They were very aggressive and one lady followed me for blocks. I spoke with a lady at the hotel bar and she said the exact same people harassed her and her husband the day before. It was quite unnerving being a woman out walking alone. We took an Uber to go 3 blocks for our dinner reservation that night.
Overall, it’s a basic room, with little to keep out the outside light. Bed and bedding are ok. The rooms k-cup coffee maker made me exceedingly happy I travel with my own drip coffee maker.

We arrived early at the hotel and the valet was great. When I asked about Happy Hour in the Short North, he gave suggestions and also mentioned Vine and Forge. The front desk has 3 associates working and all looked up and greeted us. We got into our room early which is always a plus! We were so impressed with the King Corner room as it was very spacious and had a wonderful view. We spend most of our time walking around the city and attended a concert at Nationwide Arena. The location of the Sonesta to the concert venue is so close and very safe outside with ample lighting. When we arrived back at the hotel it was about 1pm and unfortunately didn't have a chance to get and food or beverages. It was busy and the bartender was apologetic because they already had last call. We were excited to get a flat bread pizza, but we till for sure come back and get one next time! We both slept wonderfully and left around 10am the next morning. The staff upon check-out was super friendly and thanked us for staying. When I sent the message from my phone to retrieve my car, it was there in an instant! Valet again top notch and he told us to have a safe drive home. Overall, this hotel was excellent! We had the best time and enjoyed every minute!

Stayed from Friday to Monday for an event at the convention center. The front desk staff was very attentive. The rooms are average. Due to COVID the hotel does not clean the rooms. It became quite annoying having to constantly call and ask for toilet paper, garbage bags and towels. I have dealt with this many times during the past two years and I understand but it does become a hassle. There is no coffee in the lobby. You have to go to the bar and order it. They don’t open until 7 am. We paid $300 a night for the room. It was not worth the money.
