First, the good news. Very friendly staff upon check-in. Clean room. Easy access from the outside doors. Beds are okay, slept pretty good. Some of the faster hotel wi-fi. Quiet. Now then...3 bath towels for 4 people, even the second day. Toilet barely flushes, sometimes taking 2-3 times. Water pressure in the shower just barely okay. Electrical outlets not secured... More

I was forced to stay here for three weeks of military training. In that sense, I'd say it is better than almost any Visiting Quarters you'd ever stay at, but not up to the standards of even the most basic hotel (HI Express, Hampton Inn, Garden Inn, etc). The entire place is just old, but at least the place is... More

Trip advisor overbooked at the Hope Hotel. No availability. Good thing I called a day in advance to verify the reservation! Dayton hotels were all sold out. They were able to find us a room at the Red Roof Inn just a couple of miles from the AF Museum. I would never have booked at a motel with outside room... More

Having seen previous posts, I had an idea what to expect. So for the first 9 days of me staying here (which in retrospect was WAY to long), I've endured the SUPER slow wifi (despite needing internet for school/work), SUPER thin walls (I can literally here every single conversation and even my neighbor using the restroom), hard bed, and the... It is a very dated hotel. I will say that its is also a clean hotel and the staff is friendly. They seem to be understaffed, since we weren't able to get our room cleaned, even though the do not disturb sign was down by 9:30AM. It is in dire need of renovations and updates. In our room the toilet... More

The WiFi is horrible in this place and the staff only tells you that this is normal with as many guest that stay here. Wrong answer! The breakfast buffet is over priced. Do yourself a favor and drive an additional mile or mile and a half to a better hotel chain that has accomidations.

The water pressure in the shower is terrible. The HVAC unit fan was so loud every time it turned on I had to adjust the TV volume...then when the HVAC turned off I'd have to lower the TV volume because it would be blaring. Carpet dirty. Mattress is VERY low end, low quality. No overhead lighting. I had to have... More

Very disappointing stay at this hotel. Room was substandard with housekeeping failing to clean room, TV not working, coffee pot not working. Service in Packey's Restaurant was the worst in the last 5 years. Bused own table, served self coffee, no waitress for 1 1/2, food was cold and staffing for an event was very poor. Internet (new provider) worked... More

No bells or whistles. A room and a breakfast. This is the place when you need a place to crash for business and you don't need much. Very low price and convenient to Wright Patterson Air Force Base and all of its amenities. The Hope isn't exclusive to TDY and/or government travels. It is off-post, but physically on WPAFB.

My son and I stayed here for two nights while attending a convention. We did have to use a roll way bed, as our room only had a single queen.
