Great little guest house, perfect location for train station and town centre. Friendly staff, prices are reasonable and complimentary breakfast is nice touch. Nice room (7) but could do with move the bed or longer curtains as sun light come direct on the bed. Would definitely go back. Well done Stratton.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and constructive feedback. Nobody has highlighted the issue with the curtains and the window before so I really appreciate the advice and will have a look at the room on Monday to see if the bed can be moved. We will look forward to welcoming you back.

You won't find a more welcoming or friendly reception than at Stratton Guest House. Nico and Sally cannot do enough, to ensure that you have a pleasant and welcome stay. Great Rooms, peaceful nights sleep, comfortable beds. Repeat Business customers and we wouldn't go anywhere else !! Thank you ladies, we look forward to staying with you again.

Thank you so much for your review. We were so happy to welcome your lovely family back again. I hope they had a great time at the football. My son was very jealous as he met them as they left this morning. See you soon

Booked this accomodation 3 months earlier. Arrived to be told plumbing problem so must move to Stratton hotel rooms opposite. Were given adequate rooms and had good evening meal. The following morning after a good breakfast went out for first of a few days. Arrived back at 8 in the evening to find our parking slot full and a member...

Thank you for reviewing our Guest House and while we love receiving positive reviews we do take our negative feedback very seriously. I am so sorry that you were moved due to the plumbing issue that occurred on the morning of you arrival and whilst I know you understand this was out of our control I do understand your frustration...

Great budget B&B. Easy free parking, free wifi, nice continental breakfast in the morning. The staff here (just 1 lady that I saw) was very accommodating, helped with luggage, agreed a later check out time, was very helpful to my grandparents - the lady working there was very patient with them and happy to take time to chat with them....

Great location at a reasonable price, however we were given a room at the back of this Guest House and we found that it was a soulless room that had dark 1970's furniture that looked like the bed side units had seen better days. There was only 1 window and that was 6 feet off the ground so you couldn't...

Clean and friendly. Good price. Really central for the town. No English breakfast on offer but the continental breakfast is good. T.v. in the rooms and drink making facilities. Will visit this hotel again.

Give this place a try - For a good nights sleep in comfortable rooms which are basic but very clean so ideal if you are visiting or working in the local area. It's generally unmanned, however the Girls (in fact ladies) who run it are very friendly and can be contacted very easily if any problems are encountered. They do...

Location fine, room clean and comfortable but there was lukewarm water in the evening and not even tepid water in the shower in the morning. The hot tap has a sign above it warning that the water can be very hot. It wasn't even after running continuously for 5 minutes. No shower gel. Spoilt the stay.
