I needed a room for my dog and I in the area as I was setting up equipment for a wedding nearby. The Kings Arms was highly recommended by the locals and I was extremely pleased with the room, the food and the service. The food is all locally sourced and tastes fantastic, the regulars are friendly and the staff...

We booked this for an overnight stop on our way to Cairnryan, Scotland. First thing to say is that we'll definitely be stopping here again. I thought it would be reasonable rooms and standard pub fayre, not at all. Classy very large rooms in the Kings Barn. Very good quality and freshly made food in the restaurant and a bar...

We have just returned from a three night stay at the Kings Arms. Our room was in the barn conversion and was absolutely spot on. It was large modern and very clean, could not fault it at all. The food was good and reasonably priced we ate there every night. Neil the host was very friendly and nothing was too...

Better than average pub food. Excellent selection of the usual favourites us specials board. Only had a main course which left no room for dessert although they sounded very inviting. Very busy on Sunday night, so had to wait a little, which wasn't a problem. Warned that there was only one chef on duty on Monday, but again, waiting wasn't...

Just had two nights at the King Arms and was very pleased with every aspect of our stay. Our room, in the barn, was delightful. Spacious and tastefully decorated. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly. Would highly recommend this pub/hotel.

Stayed here for 2 nights on a "Groupon" deal. The ambience of the pub and the friendliness of Neil, the licensee, and customers was really very good. With up to 6 'real ales' on offer it is a haven for 'cask ale' lovers. The food was also good quality, at prices one would expect in an establishment of this nature....

My wife and I stayed at the Kings Arms as a base to visit White Scar Caves, Levens Hall and Sizergh castle, as well as Kendall, Hawes, and Kirkby Lonsdale. It is a real traditional Inn and as you would expect, the rooms are a bit old fashioned. They are however very comfortable and perfectly adequate. We stayed in the...

Just back from a 2 night stay here, a bargain groupon deal booked earlier in the year. What a lovely place, we stayed in the barn at the back, very peaceful and quiet, food was great both nights and freshly cooked breakfast to order! Nothing much in the village but some very quaint buildings if you fancy a walk around,...

Wow what a find. We were on a very long journey and were looking for an overnight stay. After a problem with our sat nav we found this lovely pub. Very pleasant welcome from the barmaid, We were given a fabulous room near the car park, in fact our car was parked right outside. Fabulous room suited to my abilities....
