Great stay, lovely evening meal and breakfast, nice room, bathroom needs updating. On our deal DBB and £50 drinks allowance, excellent value. Would definitely stay again, it's a great location with plenty of attractions locally.

A two night stay at the hotel, first night was a social occasion followed by a conference the following day. Every single staff member was extremely polite, kind and enquired about our stay. Ernie, kindly took our bags to our room, then even went to my car to collect a purse I had forgot, Josh and Chloe on reception, very polite and friendly, Housekeeper who was working along the Spa rooms corridor, asked of my well being and if everything was ok in my room, the staff who worked on the night of the conference could not have been any friendly and helpful, the hotel sales lady who kindly offered to check out for a colleague who forgot to leave her card at reception and the maintenance guy who kindly came to my room for my bags and took them to my car, also asking if we had enjoyed our stay and if everything was ok. A Hotel is made excellent by the people who work there, all of the above are a credit to Redworth. I will be returning in January with friends for a social occasion. Please ensure the staff mentioned above are praised for their professionalism, helpfulness and kindness. Well done 👍

All these staff were lovely. The room was nice with a lovely spa bath. I came with my sister I law for a rest. The rooms were quite a walk from reception so anyone with mobility issues and staying in a spa room beware. The spa is r The food was nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The spa was really nice but I was disappointed that despite the hotel advertising itself as having facilities for disabled guests, I was unable to use the pool as the only access to the pool was by ladder and no ramp or steps appeared to be available. It would be helpful if the hotel could make potential guests aware of the above 2 issues to avoid further disappointment.

Went with a friend for some time to chill. We had a great time in the Spa, the room was lovely, all the staff were friendly, and couldn't fault the food. Already booked another stay for myself and my partner.

Firstly I want to say that every member of staff was amazing, from the check-in desk to the cheery cleaners we passed in the corridors and everyone in between. We were made to feel welcome and valued by everyone. The building and all of the public areas were absolutely stunning, and this being our first ever visit to a spa, we were very nervous but the whole place was so relaxing. Unfortunately though I have to say that our room was a massive let down. It was so dated and had an awful smell to it, which I can only liken to a room in a nursing home. One of our party was in the room directly opposite us and her room was beautiful and updated. We had our evening meal booked for 7pm and the restaurant staff were just as lovely as everyone else we’d came across and we were seated straight away. Unfortunately the food was poor and a lot of it went to waste. The breakfast however was amazing. Each of us had a treatment booked but unfortunately my daughter couldn’t have the treatment that she wanted as all of the oils had lavender in them and she’s allergic. She ended up having an alternative treatment which caused her great upset as she wasn’t mentally prepared for what this entailed and what was supposed to be a relaxing treat ended up putting a further dampener on the stay. All in all it was a very disappointing experience for our first ever spa break.

Overall a pleasant night away, our bedroom was a bit worn and dated , in need of a paint in the bathroom but adequate facilities . Food was very good, varied menu and staff welcoming. Spa facilities were clean and environment was relaxing. Few improvements could be made. We had booked treatments. Before our experince had quite finnished we were asked to pay for treatments. I had already paid!! To add insult the amount was debited from my account again without my knowledge. It only took a phone call to sort with the booking team, who were helpful but it shouldn't of happened. We also had an issue with the TV in our room turning itself on 3 times during the night to the point we unplugged it . If you are wanting a ghostly experience well great, even the staff front if house when mentioned said "must of been the ghost". They also mentioned reporting to maintenance . I do hope they did take the electrical fault seriously!! Would we go back, it would be a maybe ?

Went for a relaxing weekend away, was more like a trip to butlins loads of kids in the pool splashing about ,too many people in the spa and hogging all the facilities for a long time, rude staff and then being told we had to pay for the 2 course meal when we just wanted the one after ordering a £25 bottle of wine ontop of our meals. Also didn’t get new robes the next day when the maids come in.

Just had 3 nights away at Redworth Hall. We only booked it a couple of weeks ago and booked a spa break. The room had everything you needed, including a jacuzzi shower and a separate jacuzzi bath. Over the years we’ve had many weekends away in hotels but never had such great attentive staff in the breakfast room! All tables were cleared straight away, fully stocked food/juices/cutlery etc. We were shown straight to a table asked if we wanted tea or coffee and within 2/3 mins presented with a pot of our choice. All done with a smile too. Well done Sue and staff!! We used the pool area and again everything was in full working order. Plenty of chairs/beds to relax on around the pool. It was obviously a very popular gym/spa for the locals, who were all very friendly. My husband had a little fall as he got out the jacuzzi and everyone rushed to check he was ok. Several people who were enjoying their time in the pool came to check he was ok, wanted some water. Thank you to everyone, staff and general public for making it a lovely few days. Sorry for the long review but people are always quick to criticise so I wanted to praise them.

I booked Redworth hall for my lovely wife's 30th birthday. We arrived the Saturday afternoon for check in at 14:30 as advised by the booking. Coming up the drive through the grounds I was sure I'd made a fantastic decision. Beautiful big building, in a wonderful woodland setting. Perfect. On checking in we were told the room would not be ready until 3pm. Ok. You told us to get here at 14:30 but, a minor inconvenience. We sat in the bar to wait. We noticed it was rather busy, but we put it down to the fact there was a wedding that weekend. Finally we were ready to check in! We queued another 10 mins to check in as there were only two reception staff and then we were informed where our room was.. or thereabouts. The room was nice enough, for a deluxe room, you might have expected more, I certainly did. But it was clean and tidy and well presented. If a little bit dark and dingy being at the back of the building. Chocolates on the bed and prosecco chilling in the table as I'd ordered specially for my wife's birthday (£29 additional which it turns out you cannot use the drinks package for if you book that too). So after acquainting ourselves with the room and it's facilities we decided to check out the Spa! The main reason we had come to Redworth. The photos on the websites looked stunning. We couldn't wait! Fortunately our room was situated very close to a lift that took you virtually right to the spa. Unfortunately the lift was filthy and reeked of smoke because it was right next to an exit to the building where people obviously choose to light up. Yuk. We went to the spa reception and were greeted and given our towels and pointed in the direction of the facilities. We were excited! Until we got in. It. Was. Rammed. So unbelievably busy. Children screaming and running about, splashing. Every lounger full. Steam room was full. Sauna was full. Jacuzzi was overflowing. It was the least spa like experience we have ever come across. Bang went our relaxing weekend together. It was thoroughly disappointing. I expect this is the downfall of the spa access being included with the hotel room booking... One point to remember for future. We did not stay long. We retired to the room instead as we knew we had a lovely spa bath! So back to the room we went. I started to run a bath, forgetting to follow the instructions and run the bath until the water level was over the jets. I turned them on slightly early, too eagerly, and they sprayed water everywhere! User error certainly. But the SMELL that came out of them was awful. It was like drains. Quite off putting. I don't know if the hotel maintenance had followed the cleaning instructions quite thoroughly. Gross. If only the extractor fan had worked. Anyway we had our spa bath, with plenty of nice smelling shower gels etc in it to cover the odour from the initial firing of the jets. It was nice enough. But before long it was time for dinner! We had booked into the hotel, we arrived and we're seated in one of the back rooms, lovely high ceilings, stark l, bright lighting, awful carpet (throughout the hotel to be honest) and 3 interesting portrait paintings, only two of which had strange stains. The food was delightful however which made up for the lack of ambience somewhat. The waitress Millie was extremely attentive, helpful and pleasant. She earned every penny of her tip. After eating we went back to the room for a restful night's sleep. Which it was. Until 2am. When the neighbours decided to have a set to and bang and slam every object or door they could find. I assume alcohol was involved but I didn't fancy going round to ask. You could hear absolutely everything though. In the morning we went down for breakfast and AGAIN, so, very, busy! We had to queue for 20 minutes to get seated! Once seated though all the staff were very pleasant and attentive. The food was ok. Sausages, a little underdone perhaps but the hash browns were to die for and the pastry selection was very good. For the Sunday I had booked us both onto a spa retreat, this was the grand finale of our stay, although I had been rather worried by the previous days spa experience. This time however it was much more reasonable. Still fairly busy, but you could get a lounger and into the steam room, sauna etc without sitting on other people's laps. It was quite pleasant. The heated lounger room or "tranquility room" hidden at the back of the beauty section of the spa was my favourite, it was empty, quiet, dimly lit and the heated loungers were fantastic! They should direct you to these immediately! The lounge bar area at the spa side was beautiful. Modern, clean and fantastically furnished. The rest of the place could take a lesson from this area. And again the food we were served in here as part of our retreat booking was absolutely delicious. Having only one treatment, a salt and oil scrub, which was apparently divine, just not long enough, we spent the rest of the day lounging around the spa, swimming, making use of all the facilities, and the staff were always willing to help and very pleasant to talk to. So all in all, it was a good trip, a series of small things prevented it from being a great trip, and it was not as grandiose and special as I had hoped it might have been for my wife's 30th. If the whole hotel had lived up to the retreat lounge and the vision you get of the building as you approach, it would have been great. Therefore 3/5 stars. Decidedly average. Unlikely to return. Apologies Redworth, you just weren't for us.
