Haven't been here for many years but went for an evening meal Easter Saturday with a friend who was staying there with her husband. Nice to see it was busy and had had some good decoration since the last time I went. The food is good home cooked food, though they do like rocket with everything. And service is friendly...

Six friends booked Sunday lunch and we were impressed with the friendly atmosphere, polite and attentive staff and the great food. Good range of beers, didn't investigate the wine list but will on our next visit

We stopped by here after a lovely walk around Rickinghall and Botesdale (the next village along). Both villages are very attractive with gorgeous buildings and well worth a visit. (There are different walks of varying distances around here. Go to Discover Suffolk to download a leaflet). This pub looks like it's recently been decorated. The menu is varied, and the...

The food was lovely, there was a great choice of food on the menu and also great choice of drinks at the bar. Well worth a visit for a friendly welcome from all the staff and cheerful village pub atmosphere.

Tonight's visit to the restaurant was a really good experience - Four of us in , just for a "main meal" course only, but it was really good in the opinion of all four of us . Decent quality food at a fair price and with just the right amount of attention by the staff there , who were extremely...

After a walk at the nearby nature reserve we looked for a dog friendly pub serving food. We had two failed attempts when we found The Bell Inn. Food was great and the service was too. Toilets were nicely decorated and very clean. We sat in the bar area with our dog and it was comfortable and spacious.

Stayed overnight on Wednesday 7th December and, sadly, ended a little disappointed. The staff we dealt with appeared friendly, but our room was cold. We were advised that management would call us but we heard nothing. My wife mentioned this on a review and we received another contact asking for more information, promising we would be contacted. My wife added...

We stayed here for 3 nights to visit family and for sight-seeing. The rooms are in serious need of refurbishment but were clean and bedding and towels were clean and fresh. We were allocated Room 8 as being quiet but had problems with uncomfortable mattresses and items missing from the room. Initially management was very defensive when this was brought...
