We stayed for 2 nights in February and the B&B is lovely. Very nice place to stay. Amazing building, very friendly hosts, yummy breakfast sat in a grand dining room in front of a roaring log burner - just what you need on a chilly February day. Home made bread made each morning. In fact my husband has just emailed...

I was also pleased to hear that you enjoyed the homemade bread (new this year) it really is proving to be a great success with guests enjoying the lovely freshly baked bread smell wafting up the stairs in the morning. A lovely building in great surroundings. We received a very warm welcome from Lynda the owner. Our room was clean and spacious with an en suite toilet and bath. Breakfast was served at a large dining room table. It was cooked really well and there was fruit and cereals on offer. We were free to walk round the gardens and...

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Hempstead Hall. Lynda made us feel very welcome in her home. The facilities were excellent, the farmhouse breakfasts delicious and the surrounding gardens and farmland beautiful; we particularly enjoyed the 3 donkeys, Mabel, Matilda and Jake, and the free-range guinea-fowl. Hempstead Hall is in such a good position, being up it's own...

We were greeted by Lynda the host who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The house (hall) was a very old flint Norfolk farmhouse and the room we stayed in was large with two single beds and a large double. The room had a small en-suite bathroom, which did not have a shower only a very small bath....

Thanks Brian for your review. I am sorry that you were disappointed not to have a shower in the room that you booked. Our bathrooms have baths with hand held showers as advertised. As we are situated on a 300 acre arable farm we serve a traditional farmhouse breakfast as our website clearly states. We do not serve salmon and...

We had a warm welcome by Linda for our 3 nights stay which was in the smaller room with a private bathroom, there is a hand wash basin in the room but we would have preferred it to have been in the bathroom for washing after using the toilet. Although it did not bother us the TV is quite small...

We stayed in March 2015 for two nights, a lovely house with interesting history, large comfortable room with private bathroom, very clean, lovely views and very peaceful location. Lynda was very welcoming, excellent breakfast in a superb dining room with lovely Victorian furniture and very nice log burner. Excellent value, would certainly recommend a stay at Hempstead Hall. My friend and I stayed here in May 2014. We had a spacious and well appointed ensuite room overlooking the courtyard. Only criticism about this was that the shower was handheld.
