Wife and I booked this hotel not realising that it was carnival weekend in Felixstowe. Upon arrival, there were many unsavoury characters lurking outside the entrance, drinking. We had to side step them to enter the hotel. We found it very worrying. Reception was confused, the hotel extremely tired, horrendous room, worst of all, the mattresses on both beds were...

My family and i stayed here last night we had 2 twin rooms and i must say how very comfortable they both were nice furniture and deco lovely comfy beds and lovely fresh clean linen and towels and nice clean bath toilet and sink. The room had tea and coffee facilities a telly and both were spacious. I did find...

I booked to stay here as The Fludyers and The Brook were both fully booked. It's been there for ever, so I though it can't be that bad, but it was. My double with sea view, had peeling wallpaper, an old electric pull cord heater in the bathroom, and a door lock that looked as if it had been forced...

We booked a last-minute to stay here before reading any reviews as it seemed to be the only hotel in the area with a family room available. After reading the reviews, I was a little anxious. Yes, the hotel could certainly do with some renovation and re-decoration, but aside from that, we found it to be comfortable and clean. For...

I booked this hotel last minute without looking into it properly. Wish I had taken more time! The entire hotel is in serious need to refurbishment and is literally falling apart. I stayed for three nights, on the second night I was awoken by extremely loud water noises, I soon discovered the noise was coming from outside my door, it...

First impressions were not too bad when we walked where we were met by a very friendly receptionist. After that it all went downhill, the general areas are dirty, threadbare carpet, loose carpet on stairs, chipped paint, dirt and grime. The bedroom was cold, unclean especially the bathroom which was vile. The sheets were clean which was something and the...

Despite the very friendly and helpful staff, I can't recommend this hotel. The décor is so very dated, but that could be forgiven if it wasn't for the terribly filthy and run down state it was in. The room I stayed in was not great. The carpet was dirty and the room had a feel of stale and unkempt. The...

There is no way to lock the room securely, no chain or second lock or deadbolt. The lock could be easily bypassed with a credit card or piece of metal in the door crack. Spent the night with a chair jammed in the narrow hall between the door and opposite wall. My white socks are grimy after walking on the...

This hotel is tired and needs money spending on it. The breakfast was small, I got the impression that severe cost cutting was taking place. I walked into the bar in the evening, there was one person in there talking to the barman, he looked at me as if to say ' What are you doing here?' A poor experience.
