Four of us stayed in a family room at Felixstowe Premier Inn. As usual rooms were very clean and simply laid out, cleanliness being the main thing for me. Staff were lovely; very friendly and helpful. Parking was plentiful and free even when we arrived before check in time. Small restaurant within the hotel itself. It was nice not to have to go outside to get to the restaurant. Breakfast buffet was nice although the plates were absolutely freezing so food cooled very quickly and by the time you got back to your table it was almost cold. We had booked a table and were placed right at the entrance. As it was empty I asked to sit in the corner but was told it was all set and would knock out their system if they allowed us to move so we stayed right at the entrance. We were there until breakfasts finished and no one sat at the table we had asked to be seated at....why couldn’t we sit there!?! Our issue with this stay was the temperature of the room. It was an extremely cold weekend but the room was 27C when we came back from our evening out. We set it lower but it didn’t properly cool even through the night. Windows don’t open for any fresh air and we all lay on top of duvets all night for not a great sleep. Complained in the morning at reception and was told this is a known fault and something trips which they have to reset - why not tell us this at check in so we are aware and know to phone down to reception? Second night was better as the a/c had been reset. A poor nights sleep which could have been prevented with some communication at check in. Marked down on service purely due to lack of information about heating fault.

We were visiting family in the area and wanted somewhere very clean & comfortable, to stay a couple of nights with a decent breakfast, we got all we could ask for and were greeted by very friendly staff who addressed all our needs - many thanks, much appreciated.

What a great welcome from Hayley after a long drive, quick check-in and able to book breakfast for the next day. The room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was a simple continental breakfast, no evening meals available due to staff shortages. Easy parking, short walk to restaurants and pubs as the hotel is very conveniently placed. I would have appreciated being able to open a window in the room rather than having to have nothing bit air conditioned air. (If a window opened I clearly failed that test!) Covid comment: lots of hand sanitizer bottles around. I was uncomfortable at having to sit in the middle of the restaurant when side tables with screens were unoccupied especially with unmasked coughing guests squeezing by to get to the buffet> As above would have appreciated being able to have fresh air in the room

We had a walking trip down the Deben valley from Woodbridge to Felixstowe. The Premier Inn at Felixstowe was particularly good with Bella, Mike and Stacey going the extra mile in welcoming us and providing excellent service, thank you :)

Like all premier inns. Great shower and bath. Very clean. Large telly. Didn't eat in the restaurant, Gulliver's wife cafe a short walk down the road do a fantastic breakfast and slightly cheaper. There is a lift in the hotel. Only criticism there was a bit of a bad smell in the hallways.
