A really relaxing break, lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and food, the most amazing home cooked chips!! The room was clean and spacious (we were in the Southwold Suite) tho only niggle was that the bathroom window was broken and therefore didn't shut. However when we mentioned it the owner said he would get straight on it.

It it a lovely Hotel, we stayed in the standard room on the first night, which was very cramped, but moved to the deluxe room for the last two nights which was superb. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. 5 mins walk into town

We stayed recently at the Blyth for a christening in Southwold. Location is excellent, staff are fantastic, especially Sharon who was marvellous the whole time we were there, and the food was really good too. Everything was clean but the hotel could do with a bit of a facelift. Having said that it didn't take away from a great weekend.

Stayed for my birthday for 2 nights in May, from the helpful and friendly staff to the excellent breakfast we could not find fault. The only problem we encountered was a leaking pipe on the bathroom radiator which we coped with for the stay and reported on check out.

This was probably 3/4 years ago a very nice hotel to stay at . But now looking very tired in all departments . Windows in need of repair & paint . Net curtains looking grey & holed . Bathroom was clean but tired . The girl behind the bar & serving breakfast was great . The owner who greated us... More

Great stay. Good value, but breakfast needs sorting out. Waited forever, the bacon wasn't cooked. Lovely staff though! Had dinner on one night which was very good. Stayed for a wedding and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.

We really liked this place. Cosy room with a good en suite and very quiet. The hotel has a good friendly feel to it and the staff were friendly aswell. Good choice of breakfasts and top notch real ale,(happy hour too!). Only five mins into town and ten mins to the pier. The weekend we were there it was scorching... More

We stayed for two nights in June 2014. There are many Tripadvisor rave reviews in a hotel booklet, but none since March 2013. There were too may niggles for us to share that enthusiasm. The staff were always helpful, but there weren't always enough of them around, especially at breakfast time, one person dealing with check-outs and diners' needs. The... More
