Only just getting round to putting review on. We stayed just after Christmas 2013. The bar is pleasant and the staff friendly. The rooms are dated but bed very comfortable. Breakfast average but ok. It could be better but in good location.

We stayed two nights in the Blyth , in Room 11 , on the top floor. The room was very large and had a spacious shower although no bath, it was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. We had a cooked breakfast both days which had a good choice with unlimited tea , coffee , fruit and yoguats,...

Tough review to write, the staff were completely lovely and you'd go back for them alone. Stayed for two nights at the end of May. I made my booking online and they called me back straight away to confirm so I was very impressed with their personal service and that has brought my score up. Although the room was generous in...

Our fourth (we think) stay with Richard and his crew. This time the lovely Southwold Suite. As former Crown customers before that place increased its prices to silly money, The Blyth reminds us of what the Crown used to be. The food at The Blyth was good with breakfast being a pleasant, leisurely experience. To be fair The Blyth is...

When you first see The Blyth Hotel it may seem like a station hotel from another century when Southwold had a train service - until you go through the front door or sit down to eat. Our room was well appointed - and more importantly the bed was comfortable. The food was well prepared, tasty and well presented, and the...

Stayed for two nights in April. Very disappointed with the room especially the bathroom really cramped(the loo was impossible knees up against the wall) Carpet in the room was iffy and had obviously not been thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival as there was a pill packet and pill on the floor where it remained for the duration of our...

A really relaxing break, lovely atmosphere, fantastic service and food, the most amazing home cooked chips!! The room was clean and spacious (we were in the Southwold Suite) tho only niggle was that the bathroom window was broken and therefore didn't shut. However when we mentioned it the owner said he would get straight on it.

It it a lovely Hotel, we stayed in the standard room on the first night, which was very cramped, but moved to the deluxe room for the last two nights which was superb. Breakfast was excellent and the staff very helpful. 5 mins walk into town
