We booked the last available room but were upgraded on arrival; a lovely surprise and a really nice gesture that the landlady didn't need to do. The room was gorgeous , clean and very well decorated. Breakfast was fab and the welcome was VERY warm .

We had a great time as Di and Lou were the best hostesses! Our ensuite room was spacious with lovely furnishings and the bed was very comfortable. The sea view made it very special. Full English Breakfast with local produce was very tasty. We were made to feel very welcome.

Stayed for a long weekend with friends on a walking trip. B & B is run by Di Spring--a great lady, full of fun and stories, no problem. She runs a tight ship-everything is well organised from breakfast to maintenance and bedroom cleaning. We found no problems at all and enjoyed our stay-BUT, the whole organisation could do with a... We stayed for 3 nights at The Amber House, we were warmly welcomed by Di who immediately made us a cup of tea which was very welcome after our journey. having read the reviews I knew this was going to be a B and B with a difference, I wasn't disappointed. Di and her daughter were brilliant and should be on the stage. They are happy, helpful and very hospitable. Di gave us lists of place of interest to visit and always wanted to know if there was anything more... More

We spent a lovely weekend in Southwold staying at the Amber House. Di and Lou were friendly and welcoming. The room was small, but we had been told that when we booked as it was the last room available. Having said that, it was spotlessly clean with a wonderful sea view. Breakfast was excellent using good quality ingredients that were... More

We stayed at Amber House over the Bank Holiday weekend and found it delightful. Di Spring and her daughter Lou were extremely friendly, helpful and accommodative e.g. going out of their way to help me with contingency sleeping arrangements on one of the nights when they were already fully booked. The guest house is perfectly situated on the front overlooking... More
