My wife and I stayed for two nights, staying in the 'Pluckerly' room on the ground floor or was it called 'Pluckily', or maybe 'Pluckly'.. something like that. A small room with it's own bathroom, no complaints, it was clean, warm, and a huge TV on the wall. The Claverton is lovely, the staff are very friendly, and only too...

We stayed one night the room was called powder mill. the room was in need of so updating in a tired condition. The bathroom is also in need of an update. The staff are very nice and friendly I do wish them the very best as you want people to do well. My view is that the hotel is overpriced...

Readers may be pleased to hear that between this guest staying in September and leaving this review in December that our Powdermill room has had it's annual redecoration. The reviewer also stayed on a Saturday peak season night which are the most expensive nights to stay with us but is comparable to the prices set with other hotels in the...

Myself and my partner stayed at Claverton Country House for two nights for a nearby wedding. The room itself was beautiful - we stayed in Senlac which was very large (perfect for me to get ready in and spread my makeup out!), had a big bed, lovely shower room and views onto the garden. The service was excellent throughout the...

Stayed here for one night as a getaway for me and my girlfriend. At the last minute we could only stay for night as we had a poorly child we could not ethically leave with Grandparents. I had excellent communication with Kerry trying to work out options with suggestions of keys being left. At our request we were able to...

We stayed for one night after the local vineyard tour. Staff very polite and welcoming, gorgeous comfortable room with a four poster bed, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, didn't want to leave. The highlight for us was the wonderful breakfast, fresh fruit and yogurt and a full english, thank you for a special and relaxing stay

We visited here around 10 years ago and was very impressed at the time but on our return its even better. The owners have continued to invest in the property and the building and grounds are are superb. The bedroom we had was the superior double (Powdermills) which had a very comfortable bed and a massive shower. The food here is...

An elegant building away from the crowds with quiet grounds. Our room was mildly quirky and not massive but included all you need. The day we were there the full restaurant was not open but supper in the bar was fine. Owners very pleasant.

We have just returned from 2 days at the hotel. We picked this hotel as it was close to a vineyard we were visiting and so glad we did. The hotel was quiet and set in lovely gardens. A small number of staff who were very attentive to needs without being intrusive. The breakfasts were lovely, sourced from local produce...
