Had a fab pre Easter egg hunt breakfast here. There was a large group of us, adults and kids, and the food all came out at the same time, and was delicious. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly. Will definitely go back again.

Had a lovely Mother's Day lunch here. Plenty of food, nicely presently. Great atmosphere. I love visiting this place. The people and the place do not disappoint. I would highly recommend this inn both for it's food and accommodation and friendliness of the staff.

Booked a table here for Mothers Day lunch for 7 together with 2 cocker spaniels. We were made to feel most welcome and all staff were lovely. Everyone enjoyed their meals and there was a good selection to choose from. Nice selection of real ales as well. We would recommend a visit after a walk on the Ashdown Forest.

Stayed for one night at the Anchor Inn as a base to walk the Ashdown Forest. It was a very rainy dreary January day and we couldn’t have walked into a more cozy and welcoming bar! Spent a very happy few hours by the fire which was perfect. We didn’t have dinner there as food stopped being served at 4pm...

A group of four of us enjoyed a pre-Christmas lunch here the week before Christmas. We ordered the Camembert with chutney to share as a starter which was absolutely delicious. Our mains were a Turkey with trimmings, a Burger, Mussels and Game Stew, all of which were excellent. Portion sizes were very generous and none of us had room for...

My friends and I came to this pub on the recommendation from the owner of St Ives camp site as we wanted good food which had a nice walk and allowed dogs. We stayed in the main restaurant where we all had starters and mains ( check the specials board as soup is lovely) I had the soup and then...

As a big fan of Winnie the Pooh (he is a childhood classic afterall) we found out about this B&B whilst looking for places to stay when going to visit 'Pooh Country'. Whilst I wasn't expecting too much for a B&B in a small village, I was very pleasntly surprised. The room was lovely and light as well as being...

We came by chance on The Anchor at lunchtime and both enjoyed really good food. My King Prawn Linguine with Chorizo was enormous and so delicious and my husband's Ox Cheek was absolutely first class, rich gravy/tasty mash & spinach. This is seriously good food here, we only wish we lived nearer and could make it our local.
