We stayed two nights in the Hidden House for a wedding in nearby Mayfield. We could not have been better looked after. The Hidden House was spacious and the bed very comfortable, and breakfasts super nice and very sociable with everybody sitting around and chatting. Our hosts, Sally-Ann and James were so friendly and welcoming, and genuinely kind that it... More

My daughter and I stayed for a week in the Hidden cottage in the garden. This was our 2nd stay at Lower Crabb, and once again it was magical. The cottage is gorgeous and is everything I could imagine staying in a truly English country cottage is like. It was our own home from home for a whole week. Comfortable,... More

We stayed for one night in the stables which is a cosy little self contained apartment seperate from the main house. It is charmingly rustic with a clean and modern bathroom and the beds are very comfortable. It even has it's own outside seating area from where we could enjoy the pretty cottage gardens. Breakfast was in the main house... More

We stayed in the hidden cottage for one night as were attending a wedding in the area and our booked accommodation had cancelled our booking! The accommodation was amazing and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. Sally Ann and her husband james were so friendly and accommodating and even dropped us at our car at the wedding venue the next morning.... More

We had a long weekend based in Mayfield. Lower Crabbe is a lovely house in lovely grounds, although it's a shame the house and the stables (the self-contained building in which we stayed) are quite close to the busy road - which is also a bit of a pain to get out onto. Our rooms were spacious and well-appointed -... More

An old farmhouse, with character. We were enjoying a music festival down the road at Eridge Park and didn't fancy camping, so this B&B was a welcome alternative Lovely to relax in the beautiful gardens (one of us inspired with his sketchbook!) A friendly hostess, very tasty breakfast and nice little touches like chocolates and sherry in the room (don't... More

We stayed in the stable annexe. Very secluded. Beautiful accommodation. Sally Anne is a lovely host and cooks an amazing full English breakfast. Delightful touches including fresh Victoria sponge in our room on our arrival, fresh flowers and a decanter of sherry. Would highly recommend this property.

A very warm welcome from James when we arrived and shown to our rooms. Some really nice touches like chocolates, biscuits, herbal teas as well as conventional and coffee. 'Olde World' rooms of great charm. Comfortable beds and considering this is next to a busy main road it was reasonably quiet and a good nights sleep. Sally-Anne's breakfast was excellent.... More
