Enjoyed a great meal on what Was supposed to be a quiet Tuesday evening. However the restaurant was almost full and the two waitresses worked their socks off to serve everyone with hot hearty food as well as running the bar.Excellent value for money

Visited here on a busy Saturday evening with family. The pub is cosy and nicely set out. As a Coeliac, I have a gluten intolerance, which I explained to the waitress on arrival. Their menu did not list the allergens on it, nor did they have a separate menu, which included what I could, or could not eat. The waitress...

We used to live in nearby Flimwell in the 1990s and the Bull was our favourite local pub. This week we stayed in a local hotel and paid a visit to the Bull as part of our journey down memory lane. The day was sunny and the pub was looking at its best but it was cold outside on our...

Invited to a 50th birthday lunchtime do - 25 of us including three little ones. Incredible service despite also being busy with other bookings we had noticed as we walked through the pub. Excellent roast chicken (half a chicken) and incredible quantity of accompanying vegetables served in large bowls so you could have as much or as little to accompany...

We went to The Bull last Saturday for lunch and found it to be excellent. The service by the waitresses was superb and the food was delicious. I went with my daughter and son in law and they had not been before. My son in law said it was the best pub he had been to in the area and...

I have a huge affection for The Bull. It's been my local since I was three and some of my earliest memories are of the place. However it's highly dependent on who is running it. Perhaps it was an off day but we had lunch here and I ordered fish and chips. It's something any pub has to do well....

If you don't like dogs this is not the place for you. Dogs on floor on seats jumping on your lap, I could have put up with this if I could have had a decent pint of bitter but the only offer was caffreys which was Undrinkable . Asked for bottle bitter but none available.

It's the second time we've visited this pub and, yet again, it didn't disappoint us. The food was fantastic, the ale was spot on and the staff were exceptional. Again, this is one of the best pubs we've been in.

Tried this inn for the first time three weeks ago as fancied somewhere new for a meal with my hubby. Loved it so much we booked again while we were there for the following week to have their Christmas menu. Amazingly good value at £19 per person for three courses (wine, coffee are extra). The welcome we got was extremely...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Bull Inn was built between 1385 and 1425 and is reputed to be one of the oldest dwelling places in the country, but only became a pub towards the end of the 19th century. Set in 4 acres of rolling Sussex countryside, and within easy walking distance of beautiful Bewl Water, the Bull is very popular with walkers, cyclists and fishermen. A magnificent ancient building in a secluded location, the Inn has a wealth of old beams, low ceilings and quarry tiled floors that give it a real air of the traditional English Country pub. ... more   less
