We stayed for 1 night after a nearby wedding and were very pleasantly surprised. When i thought of a room above a pub i had my doubts but decides to book as the place had great reviews. No need to worry at all! The room was VERY clean, the bed was so comfortable, just what you need after 5 hours...

Gorgeous setting, great beers and a warm welcome. New shop open on site selling lovely homewards and flowers. Since under new management this pub has changed dramatically for the better which is great for the local community.

We visited this lovely pub for lunch with friends. We had booked, and were shown to a very nice table over looking the garden. The waitresses were very welcoming. One of our party needed gluten free food, and I had mentioned this when booking. The staff had marked the dishes that were suitable for her on her menu. A nice...

We turned up with 5 mins to go at lunchtime - not a problem. Food was fab - staff were lovely! They also left me a message to confirm timings. Usually I dread asking for food at 2.25 but they couldn't have been nicer!!

Beautiful pub, immaculate rooms and good breakfast! Let down by extremely rude and miserable owners! Do not stay here if you are after any fun! strict midnight curfew, breakfast served at 9am with NO exceptions, 10am checkout - if you are 10 mins late checking out they knock on your bedroom door! Miserable landlady, not even a 'good morning' or...

A very pleasant welcome, the room was spotless, and spacious although the en suite was a bit on the tight side. Breakfast was 'interesting'. A side table was set with a very meagre assortment of cereals, and three croissants. The landlady appeared and asked if we wanted tea or coffee. At this time we noticed that there were no forks...

We arrived before the pub was properly open and had walked ten miles to get there so were very impressed when a member of staff came out to where we were sitting in the garden and offered us drinks outside. Most welcome! The room was absolutely lovely although a little noisy in the morning as it overlooked the main road....

My family enjoyed a really comfortable stay at this Inn which is in a lovely location. We took the 3 double rooms available so we were effectively the only ones staying over. The rooms are very comfortable and all have en suite facilities. We also enjoyed a fantastic breakfast the next morning. We were attending a wedding at the nearby...

Arrived at this pub in the rain at opening time looking for some lunch with two grumpy toddlers and the staff couldn't have been kinder or more helpful. Thank you. Good food too - sorry we left a lot of it on the floor 😳 Often with twins going out to eat can be overwhelming because im always concerned about...

We needed a stopover while visiting friends nearby and The Old Vine was in the right place. Arriving Saturday we enjoyed a really good lunch, the bar was buzzing early evening as we left to attend a family party. Our room was well appointed and the bed was so comfortable it was a shame to leave it next morning, but...
