We have an event in the Brentwood area every year, and every year we choose to stay overnight and eat in the restaurant at the Marygreen Manor. The staff are flexible and kind and we really, really enjoy staying here. The courtyard is a little haven and the rooms perfect for our needs. When we first arrive, we congregate in...

Stayed in this gem of a place for only one night but that was enough to ensure that I will be back. I have friends in a village near Brentwood and the hotel was ideally placed. Just off the M25 but once inside you are cocooned from any bustle of the world outside. The courtyard/garden rooms are spacious and comfortable....

Excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely old place, with a fantastic breakfast room: old beams, tapestries and mediaeval atmosphere. Has a pleasant central courtyard garden. Trees are well-kept and colourful. Have some monster coy carp in a very tiny pond (please enlarge the pond.)

My son and I visited for lunch and were extremely surprised at the quality of the vegetarian menu. The food was delicious and the portions generous. The service was outstanding from all the waiting staff in particular I would like to mention Pepe who was "simply the best". He was helpful, efficient, knowledgeable and a indeed, a consummate waiter. The...

Best afternoon tea I have ever had, okay more expensive but so worth it if you are celebrating a special ocassion, I was there recently celebrating my 60th birthday and took twelve friends, can't recommend this place enough.

I arranged a somewhat late baby shower for my daughter last weekend. Everything from booking and arranging went very smoothly. We had the Samuel Pepys room with afternoon tea. A very attentive waiter Pepe..couldnt have been more helpful. My neice is coeliac and diabetic..and she had her own cakes/sandwiches made for her. Lovely lovely day and venue.

My grandparents are currently staying at the Marygreen Manor. We visited them this evening and I couldn't believe the state of their room. Reception didn't greet us as we walked in, to busy looking into the computer. Paint coming away from the skirting, a broken radio and whilst I'm aware it's an old building, the design and condition of the...

We booked two room which were next to one another. They were both lovely and well equipped. The staff were very friendly and we had a lovely breakfast in the morning with plenty of choice offered. We will definitely stay there again.

We stayed here 2 nights and enjoyed it. Many of the rooms are on the central garden and therefore quite quiet. It is in a busy area so it really is an oasis of green and quiet, with a history dating back many centuries. The restaurant was quite good and gorgeous. The rooms were large and comfortable and well appointed....
